Hey Frank, you said nothing about the LPM, or what it would do about that if it makes the next government. What is going on?

Hey man, what do you expect. A man who deliberately tried to con the US people that he was someone else, has credibility ONLY with people from Choiseul.

Those people who voted for mate have no stars. They are very unprincipled. Every honest St. Lucian is diminished by this.

What is very disturbing and worse is that as Foreign Minister, the judgement of the person who appointed him is gravely in danger of underscoring the rewarding of dishonest people as being acceptable and worthy representatives of Saint Lucians.

How sad! You can expect anything to drop from a bag of coals but dust.

UWP is rushing to make St. Lucia a failed state. SLP has no plans to prevent St. Lucia from becoming a bankrupt state. Chastenet is gaily going along seemingly intent to put St. Lucian workers and the economy into the backpocket of Butch Stewart. The LPM which seems to have some good ideas, has not left the starting blocks in the race to become the next government as yet. What a sorry mess!

It would be cheaper in the long term if they built him a home which he can use while in office.

Stick to the issues please. During John Compton, Kenny Anthony, Vaughn Lweis, and now Stephenson King's administration, if one checks the expenditure incurred from the Government's Treasury's records, you would see the wastage of funds, which stinks to high heaven. It happened big time both with Kenny Anthony and now Stephenson King. I am fully aware that those grease hands through the guise of rental payments, are where funds can be paid back as campaign financing to those from whom they rent. Not to mention from my own observation, kick-backs to politicians.

It is this type of abuse meted out to us, St. lucians, time upon time by successive governments, regardless whether they be PLP,UWP OR SLP that is leaving this present bitter taste in our months.

Myself, like countless numbers of St. Lucians are really fed-up. I am not enarmoured with any new party, for the sake of new party. The new persons coming into the political arena, must explain to us what is passing as government now, what it was under Kenny Anthony and John Compton, for these are truly the most dominant administrations, and what they as new entrants, are determined to introduce, to make the system of living better for us St. Lucians. The practise of political partonage, square pegs in round holes, which has been crippling the country for years, must be a thing of the past. It thrived by leaps and bounds under successive governments.

Myself, like hundreds of St. Lucians, I strongly suspect may well abstain, if we are not satisfied with the performance of the new entrants, and our disgust with the two major parties. If things continue with the same old status quo, we the majority, will all become poorer, more frustrated, dejected, pissed-off, hungrier, more violent and more ruthless. Politicians too busy tiefing, conniving and ripping off the country, getting kick-backs from big business, will obviously be unconcerned with our plight, and as the saying goes, "ROME BURNS, WHILST NERO FIDDLES".Is this country a failed state?

mr franklyn i am pretty sure when u were little and your aunt from overseas was coming home to spend time, your parents use to spend time and money making sure that their home was up to par so their trip would be comfy. i am pretty sure that on the arrival of your overseas family you would make sure that no carban was left on the floor and that all was in place to create that impression. in a nutshell i think we stlucians beaker about everything in the name of politics. we are a sorry case in this country and people like u dont make it easier. i see no problems in elevating the place where dignitories of such importance has too meet to conduct important business on behalf of our state. we have to spend to reap rewards. stlucians are spoilt. they dont like paying their bills. they dont like paying taxes. but like parasite the want to leave in comfort. No wonder in a recent report that came out stlucia is said to be the second dumbest nation in this world after guinnea.

As well intentioned as the LPM may be, they suffer a very serious reality that is their absence from the country and will not be able to crystallize plans to address the realities on the ground. Having a foreign perspective is useful but must be adapted to the local setting.
SLP have screwed up; UWP is screwing up; what we need is a good CHECK AND BALANCE in the next Government. In whatever form we must have some sort of coalition to keep Government honest. Intelligent people have opted for that in Trinidad, UK and now Australia. LET'S US THINK RIGHT FOR ST. LUCIA.

Who says that LPM does not have supporters on the ground. Are you living in another world?

If inflated rentals of properties from supporters are the channels and sources of funds for funding election campaigns as 'give backs', then St. Lucia's goose is fully cooked.

You get that kind of behaviour when the people themselves do not have a moral compass. You ethical relativity.

How comes that this man commits a crime and even does jail-time. Yeap!!! But the moral cretins in Choiseul and elsewhere in St. Lucia believe that this kind of person is fit to serve. That this kind of person is good as representative. They elect him to office. And the spineless PM obliges and makes Foreign Minister.

Is he not one of the cabinet members that saw nothing wrong in granting concessions in the Tuxedo Affair?

And did not the Appeals Court throw out the action and suggested that one of those members were not a credible witness or words to that effect?

The UWP have been given chance after chance by the people of St. Lucia for the past 4 years.
The main reason is that they are disillusioned with the SLP and do not want to see them back in power.

All the UWP have had to do is keep their collective noses clean over the next year and with the improvement in the world's economy and the good news coming out of tourism they would have a good chance of getting back into power.

It appears that this is not even an option. Irrespective of what Mr. Bousquet says, the fact that he is making such a move at this time in the life of St. Lucia is a poor publicity stunt.
Do they think of these issues before they heap even more troubles upon themselves ?

The UWP is party REPLETE with people without a moral compass. These moral cretins are so superficial. People who have no sense of being responsible and MATURE individuals. Look at the behaviour of Marcus. He behaviour typifies that of the so many negre marwons and country bookies in government today.

Sadly, since they emerge from the bowels of this society, it is a reflection of the fact that people of dubious reputation form the greater part of our now very SICK society.

We have to remove this contagion from public office BEFORE we can ever hope that Saint Lucia will get back again on track.

Bousquet is just ONE example of the sickening malaise that has sadly overcome this unfortunate country.

I did not see you nor Prudent being critical of the likes of Bousquet and Fredericks before you two formed the LPM. What has happened all of a sudden? Your eyes are now wide open?

Are you playing politics or are you sincere?

Tell me why is Janine Compton still with these kinds of people? Has she become corrupted too by mixing with these fellows?

Why is it that your party has not invited her to join you all?

Anonymous said...

LPM will never, ever EVER become the ruling Party in St. Lucia. Not in Prudent's or MacDonald's lifetime.

For the same reason why you and your gang have not been critical of Kenny on Rochamel and so on. Are you condoning RED corruption?
