The same reason that the Leader of the Opposition is addressing the nation ( when it is not in his place to do so)is the same reason he does not attend St. Lucian functions and the same reason he cannot work with the Government to assist with the problems associated with Hurricane Tomas.

It is because the Leader of the Opposition in his arrogant, narcissistic and self center mind cannot find it in himself to accept the fact that he is no longer the Prime Minister of St. Lucia but the Leader of the minority party in Parliament.

He has turned his back on St. Lucians by not attending the dozens if not hundreds of functions in which protocal determines that the Leader of her majesty's opposition in Parliament should attend. People go through the trouble of sending him invitations but he just refuses to attend because he cannot bare to have to be in the midst of government personel not beholden to him.

He has been absent in attending to St. Lucians in this time of crisis except for sniping at the Government again because he in his little mind, is too big to have to engage in any exersize in which he is not front and center.

Whaat a character and this is the reason he will never be Prime Minister of this country again. Labour -please keep him as your Leader because UWP are guaantedd victory in elections with this individuals as your face.

PM King should be the bigger man and don't call elections, don't use this calamity as a way to win, don't feed off of others' misery.
Wait for the Nation to heal, don't fall in this political trap, it'll bring bag karma. Elections can wait, our welfare can't, you PM King are a humanitarian and you understand the code, go by it.

Why dont you political hacks do yourself and by extention your country a fovor by not writing your stupidness in this paper? Couldn't the same be said about Stephenson King who was also out of the Island? If you're the PM's advisor, why dont you ask him to call Election soon. I dare you.
