Mr. George, though I disagree with several of your viewpoints, I must let you know that you possess the potential for being an excellent writer: you write both lucidly and informatively. The best article I have read in the Voice - EVER! Nevertheless, because I admire what you are doing, I would like you to do even better. St Lucia is in dire need of some world-class journalists.

Here are a few observations: (a) too many of your paragraphs are too long; (b) check carefully that all your subjects and verbs always match, e.g., the word "government" is singular not plural; (c) watch your use of the conjunction "but," because more often than not you really need an "and," "however," or merely a comma; and (d) although you're better than most, continue scrutinizing your use of punctuation.

Keep up the good work!!

Good unbiased article in comparison to Rick's King & kenny Solution to Crime in the Star!!! You gave the gov kudos where it was necessary likewise the SLP. You bashed them out equally and rightly so.That is the kind of writing that inspires readers Micah and continue the good work. Rick may APPEAR to have more influence than you, but articles like yours RESONATE with the general public!!!!!

Put simply, St Lucia needs an effective governance and infrastructure which isn't available from within - ie it would benefit by being taken over by another country. Right now, there's no viable solution to the island fast "going down the tubes" by any political party and matters will undoubtedly deteriorate.

The former Prime Minister as recent as 2006, and current Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Kenny Anthony, has now allowed me to definitively make up my mind on him, where it concerns my vote.

As a former Police Officer, I know as a matter of fact, that numerous concerns were brought to his attention, on numerous occasions, and he knew full well, exactly what was need to help the people of St. Lucia stem the tide of crime, as it realtes to that component called the Police Force. Notwithstanding he paid absolutely no heed, but instead continued, time upon time ti insult us, by letting us know. in no uncertain terms, that neither the Police Force nor its concerns were of any importance nor significance, and made this publicly known, by the appointments of the following persons he chose to Head, our Police Force. Consider these appointments:-
Velon John
Petrus Compton
Calixte George. This was how he Kenny Anthony chose to express his disinterest in the Force. And we took copious note. If we ever had any doubt, in what we knew and observed first hand, we confirmed when we saw, appearing at the sitting of the High Court, involving the case of Ausbert Regis former Commissioner of Police v The Government of St. Lucia[ Attorney General], none other than Kenny Anthony, and the Attorney representing Ausbert Regis, is none other than the Dominican-born Estaphan, who represented Kenny Anthony, whilst he was the sitting Prime Minister, in the infamous and notorious Rochamel Scandal which currently plagues his ST. LUCIA LABOUR PARTY.

O what a tangled web we weave when once we practise to deceive.

Kenny Anthony knows too well, that the senior command individual in the Police who had to go, along with his infamous Police cousin, with his questionable---we know what. But Kenny Anthony, played nasty, dirty politics with the Force, and to the pain and suffering of St. Lucians, particularly those who never voted for his Party.

I can only say [LOL] " Those Whom The Gods Seek To Destroy, They First Make Mad". Film At 11!
