The park is surely a welcomed addition to the Cityscape.

The opening ceremony however showed the misplaced priority of the government.

Imagine the disappointment when MC Russel Lake announced that due to cost, there would be no fireworks for the Independence celebrations yet the same government could find money for an elaborate fireworks display to try to boost up Mr. Frederick's standing with the electorate.

Guess, they did not think that Independence activities would give them votes.

City is filthy ? do you want me to post a pic of the city in 2005 so you can compare to now? moron you must have been talking about you room.

@above, the blogger who said the city is filthy is QUITE CORRECT. The stench, filth, excreta near the Marketing Board is enough to make anyone vomit; the potholes in the Wm Peter Blvd and near Dilly's Supermaket; the opened, maggot filled drains all over town; some loose electrical wires (may live wires!!) on the outside of Parliament Building, etc, etc, etc...if that is not filth, by your standard, then, what is?

Then the rats roaming all over town, even in broad dayligh, the stay dogs, the empty bottles littering the whole place, the filled up gabbage bins overflowing, the purgent pee smell coming from EVERY corner of every building in Castries...in your view this is not filth, righ...and you have the audacity to put down a blogger?

St. Lucians voted. The country has gone to the dogs.

The town is not filthy, it's the people in the town who are the filthy ones.
