The LPM has a clear agenda for inclusive economic growth and SSAP for job creation, which will be unveiled shortly.

This will allow Soufriere to focus on new and existing resources and initiatives to address our seven priority neighborhoods, (namely H1-H7) and create a stable business environment that will help attract investments in Soufriere.

Soufriere desperately need a new way of thinking when it comes to the way forward, its development components, its infrastructure, conservation of its heritage, and social habits.

It won’t be easy to put the town on firm fiscal footing, and away from the status quo. But we will need to act as to what we as a society want, and more importantly, what the next generation will inherit.

One may argue that we need a third party on the stage at the next election to look St. Lucians in the eye and say “these two parties are lying to you”. “They can’t tell you the truth because they are each trapped in decades of special interests.

A third party might be an improvement over the ones we’ve got, but I doubt it would get into office by telling us the TRUTH.
