Marcus was useless anyway. It would be strange to see him arm in arm with Kenny. Wasn't it the SLP who told everyone he was arrested in London.

They can have him.

No Marcus needed, we got our man for Dennery North. You may not know him but Andy certainly knows.

Marcus can go. He won't be missed. He has ill treated the people from Dennery North and we deserve better and this is why we chose Andy Daniel. SLP will never win Dennery North. Kenny can have Marcus. As for the persons asking for the government to fall there is a Lord and he isn't sleeping this government will continue to stand. Some of us know nothing about a situation and tend to make foolish statements! Marcus ca,not accept rejection so he claim to resign when he was on his way out! Happy going Marcus you will bow  to the ppl of dennery north when you are on yur behind begging

When I read some of these comments above
it reminded me of the statement Rick Wayne made on the radio station some time ago. He said st. Lucia is an island full of Jack Asses. Their educational level is low and poor.when one has to target a man with a PHD it makes me feel ashame. Our present Prime Minister has only one GCE and that is in RK. Are we satisfy with a man of that low intelligence to lead us ? Thats ashame.

Anonymous said...

Choops! Phd does win elections? How comes Phd could not show Kenny commonsense when it comes to handling money?

Explain Sar!

Anonymous said...

Smh does having a PHd or GCE make you intelligent? What happen to the persons who has acquired all these things and can't make a wise decision. Pm King has been one of the strongest PM in our history to have kept the party together. To be able to go. Hold this party and government together. They have had issues and they are still together. Marcus had no choice and Jeanine is a case of her ownm if it was kenny he had already fired many. We are not autocratic we are democratic

They said we wudnt last 6 months we lasted a year. They said we wudnt last a year we lasted 4 and a half and we will regain the reign as a government! Don't you worry.

All slp does it prey on the minds of the ignorant! Make ppl believe they are back in the days of slavery. They have realized tht the Taiwanese funds are reaching the grass roots and that miight help keep UWP in power. Hence the reason they are complaining so much! The chinese would give gift to the country and bring their won ppl to complete their projects barely employing our locals. The Taiwanese are putting the money into the community so the people can benefit whilst they are being employed to do the work that this money was put for. What better thing and yes it is accounted for. Only thing is that marcus circulated his projects around one set of individuals and it barely got to the grass roots! Hence the reason we moved away from him.

Anonymous said...

Oh The UWPs once again in 'damage control mode.' It is their very pre-occupation with surviving 4 months, then 1 year, then 4 years that has kept them from paying attention to governing the country in an intelligent manner. It's all a game of survival to the end... a few ti canal projects ... fulling their pockets in between... and to hell with serious policy making. This is what we've come to. Hurray for de party!!!

Anonymous said...

WEEEEE, mwe mem--that's a lot of slaps king must endure to keep his cabinet together. It will take a whole lot of bending down to keep this group of men together.

I honestly feel sorry for the man. It's time we have better representation. Castries North here comes a man of the times, a man of integrity and leadership--Dr. Ubaldus Raymond--who can stop this destiny?

Theses so called UWP are so obsessed with Kenny, they just cannot say anything without mentioning his name. They have their problems in their party it is Kenny fault. "Kenny should have Marcus," who told them Kenny ever said he wanted their Marcus. One thing about these so called UWPs once somebody leave them, all of a sudden they become the worse person on earth and has every fault in the world. The people who leave them never had faults when they were with the UWP.

Y Y Y Y Y Y Y some St Lucians really could talk foolishness just because of politics. Imagine somebody could say King is the strongest PM in history, he kept the party and government together, people with PHDs are not intelligent and a load of crap. So we elected the UWP government just to be kept together?
Imagine some St Lucians are so daft they still blindly support a UWP bunch who began their term with scandals and are ending with more scandals, with the only work done in the country are a few small small projects by the Taiwanese. "Kenny showed no commonsense when it comes to handling money" everytime I hear that I have to laugh, because King who they believe can handle money, maybe for his private use, has nothing to show for all the hundredth of millionsof dollars he borrowed and increasing the public debt. Nobody can tell us what King and the UWP did with all the money they borrowed. King even borrowed from the IMF. Can anyone tell me where did that money went? Any blind man can point out projects all over the country done by Kenny and the SLP.

Another crap talk is, the Taiwanese employ locals to do work and it is felt by the grass roots. But the Chinese give us gifts and built it themselves, barely employing locals. We all know that is true but how many projects did the Chinese built in St Lucia? I could count two, the VF stadium and the mental hospital and there were locals working there. The difference is that there were many more other projects happening in the country at that time where locals could have worked. There were the prison, schools, hotels, forensic lab, health centers, police stations, fire stations, fisheries complexes, car park, ofices blocks all being built. Tell me what is going on in this country other than these misely footpaths and concrete courts built by the Taiwanese? How many can be employed to build a footpath and a few steps? So people we must think before we speak or write.

These so called SlPs are so obsessed with King, they can't see far past their nose.

I am an SLP and I must admit I am obsessed with King because I am totally committed to getting rid of an inept, spineless, truth BENDER - and oh, how he loves to BEND - as my prime minister. I don't have a Phd but I have some pride.

Marcus is a clown the UWP is not a circus ring he just doesn't belong.Let the labour party have him they make their garbage pick up daily sometimes twice a day it depends on the neighborhood.Shut up you all nincompoop you all haters come out in full force UWP here to stay for another four yes.Yes they will deal with that.

You have no shame, who is obsessed with a semi literate, incompetent King who has St Lucia upside down. Only insane people will ever support a PM who the majority of the youth of the country are more qualified than him. Only a few bias, blind diehard UWP will follow King. The man is so daft all he can do is to read a speech written for him, it is a disgrace to have a man like that as St Lucia PM. The man could not even pass a bill properly in the house, it had to take Kenny to help him. All the people supporting King, please name one good progressive policy that came out of King as PM and was implemented in 5 yrs? What has King and his gang has done to improve our lives in St Lucia in 5 yrs?

I bet you that semi ill literate is going to kick the arse of your literate leader at the polls.

Guess what, there isn't a thing you or him can do about it.

The job you were waiting for won't be coming any time soon. I suggest that you start looking somewhere else.

How come when Chou was in St Vincent, he funded grassroot projects that were accounted for through the consolidated funds. Who told Chou that he could ignore our laws and demand that our government does the same? Was it the government itself? Nobody is against grassroots projects, all that proud St Lucians are saying is that we are a nation of laws and the law makers are the last persons to break those laws. After all, is it acceptable for someone to break into your home and steal from you so that he could feed his kids.I suppose the UWPs will argue that it is perfectly alright to do so since the children were hungry and had to be fed.
What a perfect example for our youth!

I'm not surprised that when challenged, the UWP defenders judge everyone by their own standards and think that support for a party is all about personal gain, e.g. a job. What about pride for self and country? When in Barbados, Jamaica, T&T, Grenada, St Vincent Dominica - I could go on - could King ever become PM? Mediocrity reigns in St Lucia. What a state of affairs!!

I will take King any day over your pampous Kenny.

Blogger #24 thanks for putting the imbecile blogger #23 in his/her place.Them morons have no shame or class all they see is Kenny and bragging how he's got a Phd which stands for psychotic hateful delusional fool.We promise NEVER to allow him to wreck St.Lucia the way he helped Burnham to wreck Guyana. With King GED we will prove to him who's the MAN.

Anonymous said...

UWP supporters stop repeating empty slogans about Burnham and Guyana. Get your facts right. Furthermore when did Kenny ever brag about having a Phd.

A word of WARNING. I don't know you but as one St Lucian to another, be careful how you going to TAKE King... unless of course you like it so.

Anonymous at 11.11 AM, don't worry about Stephny taking it!! She loves to bend down low, remember? The only problem will be that Stephny's red man in New York will get JEALOUS like hell, and when John get VEX is licks and scandalous behaviour. Pwend garde.

Anonymous said...

Kenny with all his PhD could not stop an 80+ old John Compton who I could say postponed his death so he could beat Kenny in the last election. I don't know what Kenny will do if King with his poo-poo GED beats him in the next election. He will go mad, mad mad, mad enough to end up at the wellness centre that was built half-way by the Chinese.

Anonymous said...

For all of those red herrings who vex that King has no degree. John Major was Minister of Finance and Prime Minister of England and he too had no degree. Go figure.

Anonymous said...

Yes Anonymous 11:28, that's the kind of inequity upon the nation that they don't want to talk about. Instead they want to talk about Grynberg 'secrets' when the skeleton in King's closet is just waiting to leap out! That's why all the men in cabinet can twist him around.

Anonymous said...

Probably, John major did not have a degree but he had a brain. King has neither.

Think about this, Compton postponed his death to beat Kenny before the men in his own cabinet virtually killed him. I say Kenny is the winner here!!!

I would like to see the day when a UWP supporter can argue a case logically.

Anonymous said...

I am awaiting Spiders resignation now lets go flambeau

Anonymous said...

The 80+ old man is no longer there to make the UWP win so they are desperate now. Man, we have a recession but those Taiwanese is making a mockery of what true leadership is by giving millions to MP's, which eventually find itself on the streets. People please take the money and vote the uwp out because you will have to wait another 4 1/2 years plus more corruption if you vote these bunch of jokers in.

Oh by the way, especially SDA folks, God is still on His throne and He will do what is right as always...Lord have mercy on us.

wee, wiii eh beh mi lee--a whole bunch of uwp t-shirts were found drowned in rivers after the rally (lolol). That's for you King for trying to trick poor St. Lucians. We are waiting to give you the boot--we are voting for Dr. Ubaldus Raymond.

As i look into the sychic of my fellow st lucians. This maypwe la and the nonsence takl about being obsessed about this person or that person.
A whole lot of us do not think for ourselves, All we need to hear is a maypwe and we take it from there, Whether the person is right or ill inform.
This has been along history here at home.
Now if i have to Speak on something about mr king and his leadership then am obsessed.
Now this is wrong thinking and such mentally should be put aside.
When Christ chase those money changers from the temple, How would we have describe him,
This is RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION
When i see what is being done in st lucia and the behaviour of my prime minister, His leadership style, His incompetent style, Not an articulate person, makes my country look weak and a laughing stock, Shouldn't i as afellow citizen be worried about such.
Then If one speak Then they are wrong.
We are now in an age of globalization and Thecnological Era and we need to stop this party bashing and do what is right for our future.
HE WHO FAIL TO PLAN, WILL PLAN TO FAIL

Government must ‘get radical on crime’ – St Lucia Catholic paper - Apr 10
2011 - Caribbean Church News

Saturday, 09 April 2011 21:48
St Lucia’s Catholic Chronicle has called on the island’s government to get tough on crime.

In a recent editorial titled “Get Radical On Crime”, the monthly said “the nation is totally exasperated over the random shootings, gang warfare and seemingly uncontrollable escalation of crime in this country.”

It described Prime Minister Stephenson King’s “Six Point” response to the increasing incidence of murder and violence as “lame”, adding: “More support for the police, better hardware, more officers on the ground, cooperation with the USA and Israel on intelligence, a hotline in Miami, all sound like “If they will work now, why were they not done before?”

The paper said the nation’s leadership “seem to have no answers that can generate confidence in the public” and that the crime situation is bigger than any political party or government. Not mincing words, the Chronicle editorial said responsible persons should “stop playing games, blaming this one for being soft on crime, or that one for doing nothing, as if they had the answers.

“We all know the problem is massive and the least that can be done is to be radical about it. Stop playing games. Get down to the root. Somebody knows who are the untouchables, the unmentionables profiting from the blood of others.

“It may take the concerted effort of government, opposition, civil society to do it, but it must be done.”

CRIME: Crime, including armed robbery, does occur and is rising in St. Lucia. Violent crime is often connected to narcotics trafficking. Petty crime also occurs, with tourists being targeted often. Efforts by the St. Lucian authorities to improve public safety on the island are ongoing. Visitors should inquire about their hotel’s security arrangements before making reservations. Valuables left unattended on beaches and in rental cars are vulnerable to theft. Visitors should use caution, especially at night and in less frequented areas.

St. Lucia could use help from T.O. cops – Minister

Concerned about the sharp spiral in violent crime in St. Lucia, the island's law enforcement administrators say they are open to any assistance they can get from global law enforcement agencies, including the Toronto Police Service (TPS).

That country's Minister of Home Affairs and National Security Guy Mayers and Acting Police Commissioner Vernon Francois met with Acting Chief Peter Sloly.
They were in Toronto for the St. Lucia Association of Toronto's (SLAT) annual banquet marking the island's 32nd independence anniversary. Mayers was the keynote speaker at last Saturday night's event which Sloly attended.

St. Lucia, which has a population of about 165,000, has recorded 18 murders in the first two months of the year. Last year's total of 48 was the highest since the island secured its independence on February 22, 1979.

"We want to build a relationship with Toronto Police that will help us strengthen our service," Mayers, who co-owns the St. Lucia Mirror newspaper, told Share. "One of the things I would like to see is that our officers acquire specialized training by going overseas and working on a short-term basis with police services in Canada, the United States and England. That's something we are pushing for to boost our police force."

Francois agreed with Mayers, saying he would welcome a collaboration between his organization and the TPS which has always been at the forefront in the use of the latest cutting edge technology to aid investigations.

"If we can form an alliance with the Toronto Police, I will be very happy," he said. "We are a small force, so any support we can get, we will take. We are open to any technical assistance we can get from any police service. We however do not need human resources since I believe we can handle our own problems and issues."......

All de pressure Kenny putting on Tom Chou, will force Tom Chou to embarrass Kenny in the worse possible way. One of these days Tom Chou will say enough is enough and show evidence of all de campaign money Taiwan gave to SLP in 1996. One day, one day tangalay. tanto tanto.

Only in slu people make much about phd. Phd plays no role in the united states as those people are only looked upon as consultants. They are deemed to lack the technical skills like someone with the masters degree. Worst I would not trust what kenny says cause he has a tendancy of forgetting what he says and signs.

What nonsense that person talking about only in St Lucia they make a big deal of PHD and people with masters degrees are more technical that people with PHD, in the USA they only use people with PHD as concultants and all that crap. I do not believe that person know who is a consultant and what they do. Consultants are being paid more than the ministers themselves to advice the government on policy, these consultants are the brain of the government. So when that person want to talk their crap they should go somewheere else to to talk it.

If that person do not know a PHD is higher than a master degree and you must do your masters before you do your doctrates. For your information alot of people with a doctrate have more than one master degree. So how on earth can a master degree be more valuable than doctrate. Please do not let anybody know you are a St Lucian when you are repeating this crap. Tell them you know the truth, but you are just politically blind and you are saying that purposely because you chose to support a semi literate, incompetent as your PM in St Lucia.

I am a visitor to this site, and I am saddened by the level of ignorance and irrationality of some of the bloggers on this site. Where on earth can you find people who denigrate or belittle PhD's? Probably only in this small island called St.Lucia.

Hope our leaders will correct this fallacy about persons with advanced degrees. Leaders please note that a country with high numbers of educated people are the ones to experience higher growth levels and lower crime rates.

Sincerely, Visitor
