David Dinkins, the first black mayor of New York City, did introduced Community Policing to New York City back in the early 1990's. And it did have a certain level of success.
More policemen and women were required to patrol the streets of the various neighborhoods; not in their patrol cars, but on foot; getting to know the residents etc.

Come on GUY is this the best you could come up with. This regurgitated old hat. You really needed the Yanks to come and tell you about community policing in the 21st century In a small country like St. Lucia most of the policing is community based.
Mr Mayers you have really turned out to be a massive disappointment in your role. you are nice guy but a most inept Minister - time to go !

No Mayers is not a nice guy...a nice guy would not associate himself with the likes of Richard Frederick, Keith Mondeisir and Rufus Bosquet, to name but three...
