it is pathetic to read such comments from Chastanet operative. The point that you are missing is that Dalson is the district representative and his office and the rights of Soufrierians who voted him to represent them should be respected. The very projects that we all hear Dalson pleading to government to address over the past four and a half years to no avail are now being funded by government as Chastanet's projects. This is unfair to the gentleman and by extention the majority who voted him. The Taiwanese has given $500,000.00 to the foundation and the town council respectively with no consultation with the DR. Consider that you Mr. UWP operative.

There is a saying, “A FOX CHANGES HIS SKIN, NOT HIS HEART” there-fore one should always be vigilant.

The real goal is to dispense from stage-managed elites, and local representatives, who serve foreign interest, properly called parasitic elites, because they siphon off local wealth and resources on behalf of their neo-colonial masters.
Their interest is not with the people of Soufriere, but theirs, working to acquire personal gain and political capital.

Indeed #1, not only pathetic, but sickening.

The difference between the two, Taiwan and China - China funded and had their OWN people and equipments working on those projects.

So sorti la with you half truths and innuendoes.

For shore one thing is clear, no white man will be permitted to represent Soufriere- AGAIN.

The days for this is over,,,This election is either SLP or LPM --THE SMOOTHER OPERATOR, that's where am leaning.

Soufriere is for Soufrierians!!

Jude, for you education--it is the responsibility of government to provide the platform for growth and development, to enable citizens to provide for themselves,--not to provide handouts.

Also MP'S have to promote and develop their constituency- not care takers and selected manipulators of the poor and fickle mind like yours.

Also be advise the Ministers collect a salary and perks from the tax payers - to work and show results.

Jude, I do not wish to insult you, but you sound like Minister MONDESIR.

Jude - more education for you.
The opposition parties, particularly those with no representation in Parliament, have little or no influence whatsoever in the making of laws, the awarding of contracts for national projects, the increase or decrease of taxes, etc.
The responsibility, therefore, is on the governing party to show slate for the just ending five-year term. The question is always whether the ruling party delivered the goods, and whether the opposition parties have programmes in place that are good enough to win the hearts of the majority of voters.

Voters are eagerly awaiting the report card of the ruling party which took office in 2006 and just as keenly await the manifestos of the opposition parties as to their agendas should one of them be elected to office.

Its been a while since I have been following this matter with Tom Choe and the Taiwanese funds. From what I understand is that Tom said that it is too much red tape to get the monies to go through the Accountant General so he gives it to the representative directly. That is simply saying to me Tom come to St Lucia and refuse to follow the laws of the land and make his own laws. The government support him and he feels like all is well with htat because he is spending money. So we can now understand why the reports from the Federal Government mention St lucia as a corupt country. How can we let a man come into our country and make his own laws and do his own thing. Is this morally wright. The opposition has failed to challenge this in the courts and it really need to be. For the love of money we sold our country to Tom. What has St Lucia come to?

Please let us not get carried away with the illusion that "Massa" will cure all the problems of Soferie.
Massa and his family have been major power brokers in the area for a lifetime, they own a signicant proportion of the land in the area.
Yet still they have done very little to improve tge quality of life of the local indigenous people.
So why does "MASSA" now coming bearing gifts? Because he wants to be Primeminister and rule the country,
My people dont be fooled dont fall for "Massas" same old tricks.

Tell them my brother, awaken them to massa tricks.

Agree masa time done - no going bak to the plantation. now is the time of the decenants of slaves ,not massa children.

Today 23 August is the international day to celebrate the abolition of slavery.
Come on people we cannot be contemplating putting a slave master to rule over us again.

Anonymous said...

Do you know why the term 1st, 2nd and third world was used for? They are no more, we are a 'developing country'...stupid.

Kenny is a direct descendent of a slave master...now who is massa?

Anonymous above ......continue to play your cheap flambeau politics. I fell sorry for Jude singing for his supper. JUDE NOTHING YOU SAY NOW OR LATER will save the flambeaus from TOTAL DEMISE at the polls. The more King waits before calling elections, the worse it gets for him. Emma is no longer nibbling at spider's constituency she is taking hugh chunks away now. Fredericks is slowly losing ground except for the riff raffs and angel broute...... and the list is too "humerous to mention"so king hold on pal to the elections until March 2012...by then it will be WHITE WASH CLEAN SWEEP........ELECTION SOON COME!!!!!

Kenny is Kenny Anthony, not Kenny Barnard! Kenny chose from a boy to denounce his paternal ancestry and cling to that of his mother. You can call him white all you want, but that will not change this simple fact.He had a choice and he chose well! His brothers who share the same mother with him all legally changed their names to Barnard. Kenny did not, although it is said he was the apple of his father's eye! Go figure!

Jude Desmangles, what a political prostitute you are, aided and abetted by Marquis. You know very well that the UWP is spitting on the laws of St. Lucia. Chapter 5 (Finance) Article 77 (Consolidated Fund) of the Constitution of St. Lucia, the supreme Law of the land, says that all monies to be used officially in St. Lucia for government projects MUST be disbursed from the Consolidated Fund. It is illegal for Ambassador CHIEN to be just putting cash into MPs hands and that's the Law of the land. Jude, in your political prostitution you are condoning and promoting the violation of St. Lucia's Laws with impunity, and using Sir Garnet Gordon's great newspaper to do so. But Soufrierians see the violation and will give Allen Chastanet the KICK he is asking for soon enough. Allen's illegalities, including his role in the nasty Tuxedo Scandal, cry out to Heaven for justice! Jude Desmangles, even Gable Desmangles, a man of principle, would have been ashamed of your promotion of such illegality. You definitely have taken your place firmly with the likes of political prostitute Peter Josie. As a blogger said above, it is strange that the SLP has not taken these violations of the Law of St. Lucia into the courts!!! Anyway the day of reckoning is coming. LANSIQUOT

Chastanet should read
Section 77 of our
Constitution and Section 7
of Finance Aministration
Act.Does he respect the laws of
the land? Remember Tuxedo?

Why didn't Chastanet accept
the money from 2007?
Why only in last few months of
his term. His interest in the
people of Soufriere just
surfaced?

More bluffs and lies! He must
stop taking credit for what
he has not accomplished.

Jude Another for you and T-CHAS EDUCATION

Bad Faith
What is even more remarkable is the finding of ‘bad faith’ in the judgment. Bad faith is the most serious form of wrongdoing by public authorities and is hardly ever upheld in a court. What it means, as the court itself notes, is that this was not a simple matter of a Cabinet not understanding their duties and functions. Rather, it was a deliberate display of the abuse of their discretion for the worst possible reasons. In the words of the court itself:

The allegation of bad faith carries with it . . . allegations of dishonesty and improper use of the powers granted by the legislation. It suggests that the entire Cabinet, . . . were involved in a cover up to protect one of their members. It is a very serious allegation . . . bad faith means dishonesty: ‘It always involves a grave charge. It must not be treated as a synonym for an honest, though mistaken, taking into consideration of a factor which is in law irrelevant.” . . .It covers fraud and corruption”.

Lansiquot man you have no honte. You mean even after Kenny treated you during the last election you still defending him? He threw you in the gutter like a mango seed and you still want to give him a wash and polish? But Kenny was right for what he did to you because you had no shame openly campaigning to represent SLP in Central while refusing to resign as a civil servant. So don't come here telling us about laws. The next time you see Kenny ask him if Labour ever took money from Taiwan

Anonymous said...

Yes Lansiquot is a man of principle, a man of strenght, a man of character, a man with morals, a man who love St Lucia, a man who put St Lucia first and want St Lucia to prosper. If Lansiquot was a selfish man he would have abundant the cause and do as you suggested, stop defending the BEST PM we ever had in St Lucia, in Dr. Kenny D Anthony and support the bunch of misfits we now have in government. If you doubt me name one PM that was better than Dr Anthony? Only people who HATE St Lucia and do not want to see St Lucia develope will support this present UWP government. This government have stalled ALL development in St Lucia for the last 5 yrs, whiles each semi literate Ministers has became millioners. Our island was developing so nicely with Kenny, we were the envy of the Caribbean. Now I cannot even discribe how far down the drain this UWP government has taken us. When I look at it Chou is or PM, because he is the only one who has done some small T Cannal projects in St Lucia in the last 5 yrs. What has the government done with our taxes, the 5 budgets they presented to us each year and all the hundreds of millions they have borrowed. They have the audorsity to talk about cost over runs, you know something I prefer somebody who spend twice the amount of money to do something good that we could have to enjoy. Than someone who would borrow money and do NOTHING with the money thay anyone can see.

If Stephenson King had just 5 percent of the intelligence and the education of Lansiquot, the UWP government would be sailing smoothly and you can bet your bottom dollar that a convict like Rufus would not be our Minister of Foreign Affairs. Lansiquot would have St. Lucia receiving the respect it deserves, and he would have fired all corrupt ministers. I have no doubt that Lansi will one day return from New York at the UN, where he now works, and run things in Central Castries. By the way, the work at the UN was not a favor. Lansi is one son that Looshans are proud of. Just wait and see.
