If we remove the slot machines, the people who play would be idle and crime would increase.

Why not let prostitution an let de SNL run it like a professional sports. We could have a dayly unlucky 3 to guess which tree customers caught HIV last nite. This would occupie de youth dem both nite and day.
Then the church, including the GUYS, would talk!

@above:
Day should negotiate with de phone companies to gamble using de cellar-pfones. They could pay royalties to de minister (of youth an sport). Boy, look blueberry that go sell, seccon-han, to pay de debt. St licie will have

CELULAR LOTTERY TERMINALS!

PS: We can even play quiet in de church when dere is borring prechers talking.

Hi your article on the NLA cocktail has many errors:

1) The headline is misleading: Actually proceeds of lottery games emanate from separate entities (a) St. Lucia National Lottery SNL which is managed by Canadian Bank note CBN and
(b) Cage St. Lucia Ltd. the exclusive licensed operator of video lottery terminals in St. Lucia

(2) Dana Augustin, the Operations and Marketing Manager for Cage St. Lucia Ltd. was correct in stating the "minimum" license fee paid to the NLA is 1/4 million EC monthly. This is NOT paid to the SNL but to the NLA.

(3) Cage St. Lucia's license fee does also go towards funding youth and sports ventures hence the point made i.e. "minimum." However, the monthly commitment of 250,000 goes towards paying for the Beasejour Cricket Stadium loan at the bank.

Please get your facts by contacting the companies you have written about. This article is very misleading and confusing!!!!!!

Where is the professionalism, accuracy and newsworthiness that journalists are taught.

Obviously the writer did not go directly to these sources!!!!!

These sorts of errors and embarassments are what cause lawsuits!!!!!!
