Why do we have to spend money on the Queen of England? Hasn't the British got enough out of this country already? Did we get a grant with no strings attached to do this?

@above...Why, indeed!! She and her likes are not through ploundering the islands - yet!

Last week, with the death of that British Rasta lady here in St.Lucia, the British Press came down upon us like a ton of bricks; calling us names that I would not repeat here; hoping to destroy, or undermine, our tourism indusry in the process.
And now here we are like a bunch of fools celebrating the very ones that are trying to destroy us.

I thought we were independent???

Waht the heck is going on...

Anonymous said...

So egomaniac Compton gave you independence my boy? So you were fooled too? Independence my big toe!

De flag say white people pon top black people. Even de black people design it so.

Foreigner Compton wanted to be the first PM. See how he almost named everything Compton? John Compton this. John Compton that. St. Lucians mere idiats jumped up and clap.

Celebrating someone who cares little whether or not you can feed your little ones?

As long as there is this stupidity called governor general in Saint Lucia, the blood-sucking evil that is called queen of England will remain a fact of life. Why Dr. Pearlette Louisy accepts to be so useless, beats me.

The French doesn't grant independence; look at Martinique.
The British, on the other hand, grants independence but within its commonwealth. Zimbabwe opted to stay out of the commonwealth, in other words to be a republic, and look at what they have done to here internationally.

Saint Lucian celebrations of the miscreant Elizabeth-2 of England is a telling indictment of the lack of consciousness and state of comatosity induced upon these commoners through the BLACK-MAGIC of brainwashing. Yes, the people who sing the hymn “God Save the Queen”, subjects of the Royal deviants – Prince-of-Wales, Count Dracula – are but lowly COMMONERS! That any human being would submerge their humanity by making themselves COMMONERS is simply beyond my ability of comprehension; Yes! YOU! LOWLY COMMONER! HIP-HIP-HIP HOOORAAAY --”Gros-Coo-yon”

"Son-of-man" you are a mad man. Horico! Freedom and democracy ain't for people like you. If you can, I challenge you, go to Golden Hope Hospital, the Wellness Centre.

People catching their royals, but we celebrating jubilee. How many idiots are in our high places again?

We have a geriatric governor perpetrating this nonsense. What a shame!

Anonymous said...

You stupid republicans, why don't you move to the US? The Queen is our Head of State so if you don't like it then move out.
Long live the Queen of Saint Lucia, and we thank Her for continuity when the rest of the world is falling apart.

Anonymous said...

I hope they have a portrait of Her at every port so visitors can know who is really in charge...not Kenny.

Juke Bois must be the one blogging all this hatred...be gone Satan.

Trinidad got out of the queen's commonwealth long ago; and now Jamaica is contemplating the same; good for them; both are doing better than St.Lucia.
It's time to turn the Governor's mansion into a tourist attraction, and thereby a revenue generator, instead of its current use by the queen's representative and a drain on the St.Lucian taxpayer.

Coconuts! Black and brown on the outside, but white on the inside.

The Queen is in charge, uhn?

When the government put de taxes in your tail, let her come and take them off for you. You jackass!

Move to Haiti, no Queen there.

SCENE I. Castries. D.W.Square.

Enter Flavius, George, and certain COMMONERS

Flavius.
Hence! home, you idle creatures get you home:
Is this a holiday? what! know you not,
Being mechanical, you ought not walk
Upon a labouring day without the sign
Of your profession? Speak, what trade art thou?

First Commoner

Why, sir, a carpenter.

GEORGE

Where is thy leather apron and thy rule?
What dost thou with thy best apparel on?
You, sir, what trade are you?

Second Commoner

Truly, sir, in respect of a fine workman, I am but,
as you would say, a cobbler.

GEORGE

But what trade art thou? answer me directly.

Second Commoner

A trade, sir, that, I hope, I may use with a safe
conscience; which is, indeed, sir, a mender of bad soles.

GEORGE

What trade, thou knave? thou naughty knave, what trade?

Second Commoner

Nay, I beseech you, sir, be not out with me: yet,
if you be out, sir, I can mend you.

GEORGE

What meanest thou by that? mend me, thou saucy fellow!

Second Commoner

Why, sir, cobble you.

FLAVIUS

Thou art a cobbler, art thou?

Second Commoner

Truly, sir, all that I live by is with the awl: I
meddle with no tradesman's matters, nor women's
matters, but with awl. I am, indeed, sir, a surgeon
to old shoes; when they are in great danger, I
recover them. As proper men as ever trod upon
neat's leather have gone upon my handiwork.

FLAVIUS

But wherefore art not in thy shop today?
Why dost thou lead these men about the streets?

Second Commoner

Truly, sir, to wear out their shoes, to get myself
into more work. But, indeed, sir, we make holiday,
to see Caesar and to rejoice in his triumph.

GEORGE

Wherefore rejoice? What conquest brings She home?
What tributaries follow her to Casrties,
To grace in captive bonds her chariot-wheels?
You blocks, you stones, you worse than senseless things!
O you hard hearts, you cruel men of Cap,
Knew you not MINOO? Many a time and oft
Have you climb'd up to walls and battlements,
To towers and windows, yea, to chimney-tops,
Your infants in your arms, and there have sat
The livelong day, with patient expectation,
To see great MINDOO pass the streets of Rome:
And when you saw his chariot but appear,
Have you not made an universal shout,
That Tiber trembled underneath her banks,
To hear the replication of your sounds
Made in her concave shores?
And do you now put on your best attire?
And do you now cull out a holiday?
And do you now strew flowers in her way
That comes in triumph over Mindoo's blood? Be gone!
Run to your houses, fall upon your knees,
Pray to the gods to intermit the plague
That needs must light on this ingratitude.

FLAVIUS

Go, go, good countrymen, and, for this fault,
Assemble all the poor men of your sort;
Draw them to Trumasae banks, and weep your tears
Into the channel, till the lowest stream
Do kiss the most exalted shores of all.

Do you know how much it would cost to have and maintain a President, especially one like Kenny? And then sell your rights and the Island as soon as you blink.

This makes me laugh. How many businesses owned by Lucians? I mean true West Indians?

Jade Mountain, Ferrands, Leeward Brewery, BodyHoliday the list goes on.

St Lucia needs the Queen. We need the British. And the Americans, and our paymasters.

Where the West Indian leadership and talent?

We have infighting political parties with all manner of sex offenders.

Choops to independence. Martinique and Guadeloupe doing better than us.

Anonymous said...

I agree, we should have stayed an Overseas Territory...may Compton rot in hell.

After being USED to extract as profits as they could, the British dumped, literally dumped, us.

They KNEW that they were saddling us with a FOREIGNER called John Compton. Those who were NOT blind knew that all that foreigner wanted was to be the first Prime Minister.

He even brought in his friends from Panama to lord it over genuinely born and raised St. Lucians, the real salt of this land.

That Indian organizer in the UWP sold us upstream just like slaves. That traitor helped to saddle us with his lawyer foreigner friend. Queen of St. Lucia my foot!

What can the Queen of England, that is what she is called, do for us St. Lucians, but saddle us with more than just more bills to pay?

The British press does NOT call her Queen of St. Lucia. Idiots!

well to be fare inasmuch as we feel the UK havent supported us enough for post slavery affairs. they have given much of the oecs a few handouts.. ok that said .. i didn t bother reading that article at all about the jubilee ..i feel we need not be spending funds on this in my view.. if we compare martinique and st lucia u will understand why. infact compare the french or dutch territories with all other speaking english caribbean island except for trinidad of course, u will that their economies are always well adjusted even in recession periods .. WE all know of this just a reminder that by putting our funds and interests in the frugal queen isnt worth it..

The Governess is a geriatric coconut, all brown on the outside and white on the inside.

The money could be better spent.

The so-called Queen is the grand representative and embodiment of racial exploitation, discrimination and slavery.

Anonymous said...

Commoners, peasants and serfs, belong to Britain, let these two menopausal women enjoy their retirement in Britain. Send that coconut to Britain. Good riddance, slavery, racial and class discrimination and to bad rubbish!

"I agree, we should have stayed an Overseas Territory...may Compton rot in hell".

It's like saying that we should have remained in slavery; you stupid boy.

Funny how islands like the Caymans,Turks and Caicos,Bermuda,Anguilla and the BVI all have have higher literacy, longer life expectancy, higher per capita income than St.Lucia.They also have the right of residency anywhere in Europe including Martinique and VISA free travel to the US.I really wonder if they are cursing themselves for remaining British!!As for the Republics! Guyana,Dominica and Haiti set such good examples for us to emulate huh.In this modern age all this colonial bs talk has no place.80% 0f British people of all colours and creeds were not even alive when St.Lucia attained Associated Statehood and internal self governance in 1964.Stop getting all emotional about colonialism in 2012 when the world has moved on.Pragmatism and rational dictates that we continue a close relationship with the UK.

Anonymous said...

So why don't go back on bending knees and beggar bowl in hand and ask to be re-admitted as a colony of Britain, jackass. Shameless. They kicked you out and threw under the bus with a foreigner named John Compton. Now you want to go back.

Damn it! IT WAS NOT A ST. LUCIAN THAT TOOK US AWAY FROM THE PROTECTION OF THE BRITISH, IT WAS A SMALL ISLANDER UPSTART, WHO JUST CAME HERE AND KICKED US IN THE TEETH. A FOREIGNER FROM A TINY ISLAND SMALLER THAN OURS.

St. Lucians have no sense of pride! St. Lucia is idiot country!

Anonymous said...

Zot toot sa da ban makak in yo wa.If you all think the Queen ever remember the name St.Lucia you all are making a big mistake.Wasting money that we don't have is a shame.Dennery, St.Judes, Soufriere Hospitals are in dire need of a fix-a-rupa the old roads the entire Castries City and you all taking about Diamond Jubilee for the Queen? Wake up people stop making a fool out of the country.

Anonymous said...

Shut up and move to the Republic of Haiti...and then you can talk. If you don't like our way of life, then move, no one is forcing you to stay in this Commonwealth Realm. It is what it is.

Anonymous said...

See the Queen in her gilded palace?

The only common wealth is in Britain.

The other countries especially the former colonies of the South, are facing ethnic tensions and common poverty.

Anonymous said...

ARE THE 2 WENCH SISTERS?
ARE THEY TWINS?
DID ONE GET A MICHAEL JACKSON BODY JOB?

Anonymous said...

What is the Queen doing to assist us with our economic situation? Why are we wasting tax payers dollars to celebrate any kind of jubilee? Queen Elizabeth plays no role in the development of our island so what's all that interest in her?

Anonymous said...

How do you know who puts money in the Consolidated Funds?
