Hell is a Ridiculous Concept

Mr. Writer, a Masters degree in Psychology you did that make you so ignorant?

Mr writer, the concept of hell and God's love and righteousness you have missed. You have not yet understood because it seem to me you have not studied those concepts yourself but have only written what you have heard others say or have written.

Understand the idea of free choice which God has given to man and you will understand that sinning is a choice. Don't be fooled, it is human to sin but we do not have to. For example to kill is a sin and many of us choose not to. Same concept. Therefore, God cannot be held liable for the choices which man make.

Now the idea of hell as being the concept of a tyrannical God is just so philosophical. If you understand God's mercy, righteousness, and long-suffering you will understand that :

1. God's Spirit will not always strive with man (sinful man).

2. One aspect of God's righteousness His judgement.

3. As morality continues to decay and reach the point where the "very intent" is continually evil God's mercy will be mingled with His judgement.

4. The result of our willful sinning (that is continuing to do the things we know is wrong) is what alienate us from God. God, therefore because of his righteousness has to judge. Those who are found wanting are "sentenced" (not sure if this is the right word though) to hell.

5. Hell is not a concept, it is not a place where man go immediately after he dies, it is not a place where man lives and is tortured for eternity.

After the 1000 years, and after the second resurrection (see rev)will those who died in sin be burnt with fire and brimstone once and for all.

And those on the left hand: What of those on the left hand? (41) In scorching wind and scalding water (42) And shadow of black smoke, (43) Neither cool nor refreshing. (44) Lo! heretofore they were effete with luxury (45) And used to persist in the awful sin. (46) And they used to say: When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again, (47) And also our forefathers? (48) Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! those of old and those of later time (49) Will all be brought together to the tryst of an appointed day. (50) Then lo! ye, the erring, the deniers, (51) Ye verily will eat of a tree called Zaqqum (52) And will fill your bellies therewith; (53) And thereon ye will drink of boiling water, (54) Drinking even as the camel drinketh. (55) This will be their welcome on the Day of Judgment. (56) We created you. Will ye then admit the truth? (57) Have ye seen that which ye emit? (58) Do ye create it or are We the Creator? (59) We mete out death among you, and We are not to be outrun, (60) That We may transfigure you and make you what ye know not. (61) And verily ye know the first creation. Why, then, do ye not reflect? (62) ***** (67) Have ye observed the water which ye drink? (68) Is it ye who shed it from the raincloud, or are We the Shedder? (69) If We willed We verily could make it bitter. Why then, give ye not thanks? (70) **** Therefor (O Muhammad), praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. (74) Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - (75) And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - (76) That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an (77) In a Book kept hidden (78) Which none toucheth save the purified, (79) A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. (80) Is it this Statement that ye scorn, (81) And make denial thereof your livelihood? (82) Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) (83) And ye are at that moment looking (84) - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - (85) Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), (86) Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? (87) Thus if he is of those brought nigh, (88) Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. (89) And if he is of those on the right hand, (90) Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. (91) But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, (92) Then the welcome will be boiling water (93) And roasting at hell-fire. (94) Lo! this is certain truth. (95) Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. (96)

I say parents should be vigilant because this boy/girl Jason is a corrupting agent.Let us do all in our God given power to protect our children from corrupt influence. Some may have been damaged already but let us prevent him from doing more.

@ 4:29, you should stop acting cowardly by hiding behind the rock of anonymity while throwing stones. Allow people to express their views and use the idea that you oppose to teach your family what is good or bad about the idea being presented. Do you imagine that this is the only time your child will be exposed to atheist? Present a better argument to your children; e.g.:

Let not their speech, then, grieve thee. Verily We know what they hide as well as what they disclose. (76)

Doth not man see that it is We Who created Him from sperm? Yet behold! He (stands forth) as an open adversary! (77)

And he makes comparisons for us, and forgets his own (Origin and) Creation: He says "Who can give life to (dry) bones and decomposed ones (at that)?" (78)

Say "He will give them life Who created them for the first time! For He is well-versed in every kind of creation!― (79)

"The same Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold! Ye kindle therewith (your own fires)! (80)

"Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like thereof?"― Yea, indeed! for He is the Creator Supreme, of skill and knowledge (infinite)! (81)

Verily, when He intends a thing, His command is "Be" and it is! (82)

So glory to Him in Whose hands is the dominion of all things; and to Him will ye be all brought back. (83)

Jason you SHOULD expect much scorn from locals when you write these articles. This is the equivalent of saying something evil of Allah. If you were in the East I'd say that your days of writing were numbered. St. Lucia has a fair way to go in accepting "foreign" beliefs. I have faced much resistance when I proclaim my non belief in God. Good luck.

Jason, every human being experiences Heaven, Hell, and, for the lack of a better term, Purgatory right here on earth.

By the time we go to our graves, a 1/4 of our lives would have been like heaven on earth; everything goes our way. A 1/4 would have been like hell on earth; nothing goes our way. And 1/2 would neither be heaven nor earth; just living without either going forward or going backward.

With death, it is over.

OMG! This should be compulsory reading for would-be recruits of the monasteries, convents and priest groups, as well as those hell-fire mega-churches.

Either the Christian is omniscient and omnipresent or neither in BOTH CASES.

Christianity, is an offshoot of Egyptian so-called theology regarding monotheism or belief in one god.

The so-called TEN COMMANDMENTS was the received wisdom of the Court of Pharaoh at the time of the Jewish Moses.

This is so much so that when,a traumatized Moses came down from the Mountain Top, and saw that his Jewish people were not worshiping the ONE god, he crashed the tablets on the idols.

The man, the product of the teaching of the Pharaoh, being raised as a Prince of Egypt, went on to replicate those tablets and the learning from the Egyptian scholars of the day. He reproduced the legal equivalent of the teachings verbatim from memory. Word for word.

Christ as God of the Jews and later the Christians, walking the earth, never said anything was wrong with those.

It is hard for the mind to conceive that life ALWAYS is. God is life.

The Devil is the Christian God's creation. It is not the other way round,

It came from Christian God's mind. Being The Beginning and the End, the Devil could not be part of that very Beginning. That 'is'. That always 'was'.

If so, then the Devil is another god. The Christian God loves bloodshed, murder, mayhem, war and the like. Or, else it would have made a perfect world. What it made was IMPERFECT.

The Christian God, who knows ALL THINGS would have THEN destroyed the dEVIL, created all singing and dancing Angels, and not put other creatures to suffer, when the Christian God ALREADY KNEW WHAT was going to happen, and who was going to be saved and who was not way AHEAD OF TIM and before things happened.

It is all pagan myth incorporated and rationalized especially through the Dark add Middle Ages, when exciting debate about existential matters was reduced to the comical 'How many angels can sit at the end of a pin?'

Religion is just faith.

Once you believe there is no further or ANY need for any kind of explanation. All is ALREADY explained and revealed to you. You feel it.

It's like taking ganja. Once you feel high, you know that you are in touch with the Most High.

This kind of internal justification is revealed to us everyday when Muslims massacre other Muslims and those not believing in their mumbo jumbo, and primitive animal behaviour, calling the gore and wanton bloodshed HOLY WAR.

Allah slurps another chalice of human blood and offering of human sacrifice.

The same kind of logic extends to the gruesome murders and execution of the Inquisition and the burning of so-called witches at the stake, and the bloodletting of the civilized British, with the official slaying of Catholics and Protestants alike.

This week we celebrate in jubilee fashion, the triumph of one of the opposing sides during another such nadir of official and 'recognized' religion.

Life on planet earth is made all the more miserable with the billion or so followers of a nasty little bloodthirsty merchant claiming that he represented another format of that Christian God.

If Jason obtains a Masters degree in educational psychology this qualification alone does not equip him with sufficient knowledge to deal with other psychology areas needs - certainly not the issue at hand.

Anonymous said...

Hell. This makes you more qualified? Doesn't he have a right to his opinion even though it is wrong? Hell! What makes you more qualified? Tell us, jackass.

Anonymous said...

Why write an opinion that is wrong? Why write on a subject that is beyond you? It's never wise to stretch one's education beyond one's capacity. Information: my own qualification is not an issue. Jackass? look at your mirror and call what you see there a jackass.

This sounds like a confused atheist who is on the fence and is afraid of what lies beyond the grave. He is afraid to express his feelings but expresses and suppresses it in a subliminal way. Mr Writer, lets hope that when you finds out about hell, it will not be too late!!!

"St. Lucia has a fair way to go in accepting "foreign" beliefs."

Are you kidding me....very selective, you are. Well, when it comes to accepting Jamaicans "foreign" beliefs"...as you termed it, St Lucia is doing very well in that department, in fact, St Lucia takes front row seats, as long as the beliefs are negatives.

Hypocrite!

Sad to say, i see that you had some childhood issues at home jASON, But again the Bible said that the FOOL HAS SAID IN his HEART THAT THERE IS NO GOD.

Anonymous said...

Funny thing that. Christ = God,came to earth and did NOT write anything in the bible. In fact, Christ referred to the writings of Moses and the prophets.

So who WROTE the bible God or man? Who chose which particular books should make up the Bible? Why didn't Christ = God not tell us which books and writers would make up the bible. Is God a god of confusion? Or he planned that confusion too?

Anonymous said...

Who wrote the Bible? Holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

It is disappointing that we resort to name calling and character assassination when we do not agree on a subject matter. Let us bear in mind that mankind has from the very beginning and will continue to do so at the end of time, argue about the reality that there is an Almighty God. But alas, at the name of Jesus every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! Science has tried to prove His non-existence without success. The very breath in our nostrils and the beauty of creation speaks to His nature. The fact that our mortality keeps us from comprehending the grandeur of The Creator does not mean He is non-existent. Hell is the choice of those of us who choose to believe otherwise. Just as a father chastens the son he loves, so does God give us opportunities to live right but must mete out judgement if we continue in disobedience. Just as a judge would be deemed unjust for not sentencing a criminal for his crimes, so too God would be unjust for not sentencing the one who blatantly denies His existence. And is it really so wrong to require a people to live harmoniously, lovingly and morally? Sure we make mistakes, but striving to be the kind of citizens God desires us to be takes commitment and dedication. Just as anyone seeking higher education has to apply themselves to come out successful. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked whatsoever a man Soweth that he shall also reap. (paraphrased from the Holy scriptures).

To compare God to our fathers and mankind is wrong. It is putting the cart before the horse. What we ought to do is to look to God for our example of fatherhood and humanity.

It is my prayer that the scales that blind us will be removed so that we would be enlightened to the truth of who God is.

Who wrote the Bible? Holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
===========
Says who?

The holy spirit, or the holy wine they were drinking, or the starvation and fasting that brought about hallucinations by all these so-called 'saints' and prophets?

Flawed logic. The bible is true because the very many writers who were self-appointed, were 'inspired' by the holy spirit.

How do we know that the holy spirit 'inspired' them? Because these writers said so? Tautological crap!

What does 'inspired' mean? Does it mean that the holy spirit dictated the passages?

When did the god of the Christians come down to say that he, she or it, approved and approves the books written by several authors from Genesis to Revelation?

Why is there so much discordance between the writers like in the four gospels?

When did the God of the Christians say which books to include and which ones to exclude?

How come Christ did not KNOW of all the scripture that would have been written after his death? Why then as the embodiment of the Christian god, did not prepare followers to come foretelling of the books other than what were used in the Jewish Temple?

My! I forgot that you have absolutely no need for logic to understand the confusion of the bible. All that you need is faith.

Once you believe, all things are possible. All things are true. You do not need to understand. The human mind that created god in its own image and likeness is too weak to understand the mysteries of god.

If the prophets and preachers say that the earth is the centre of the universe, then it is so. If they say that god inspired them to write that the world is flat, then it is so.

Jason looks like a candidate for hell. The heavenly father must also be laughing shaking his head in anguish, disbelief and pity for Saint Lucians.

Anonymous said...

But St. Lucia is hell already! Only tourists and foreigners who have money can see the heaven that it is. Ask the woman who Mandingo murdered.

Anonymous said...

Jasson tell it like it is because all of those devilish pekingese who bark from hell are already dead.

Anonymous said...

Funny god that before you are even aware of who you are you have sinned and deserve to be burnt in hell.

Man, you did not even ask god nor your parents to come into his or their miserable world, that he and they created for you, because the devil did not create it, but you have sinned and you are going to hell, we.

The Pope and his pedophile priests in St. Lucia are real real jokers.
