A civil servant is a person, not a thing of description,,the heading should read,,,Who is a Civil servant to describe a person.

Auguste, when St. Lucians set the bar so low that crooks, thieves, drug barons, geebiay larjolle and moomoos can be government MPs, the civil servant who is several times more educated than some of those must get back by doing nothing more but come to the workplace and collect his salary and pension. You are barking up the wrong tree.

The Staff Orders states that the Cabinet Secretary is Head of the Civil Servicei It did not say the Prime Minister. The civil service transends politics. It's a career service, meaning a professional body of state workers!
Mr. Auguste, the writer of this article, should have at least do a proper research on the subject before writing.

It would have been enlightening if the writer or the Voice would tell us more about the author and his qualification.
