Very well and thank you.But in the words of a friend " Kenny and the Labour party don't like "SMART PEOPLE" around them.

The above is too complicated for the government of St.Lucia to implement. LOL.

A good opposition is necessary to keep the ruling party in check. It does not make sense for an opposition to only start talking around election time. Unfortunately, we do not have a good opposition. While it makes sense to close some of the foreign embassies, it's not practical to close all of them.

Not sure how much revenue will be be generated by VAT. If people do not have money, they will more than likely cut back instead of spending what they do not have. The real issue is whether the money generated from VAT will go towards putting the country in better financial shape. Time will tell, but history of politics in St. Lucia may give us some clues.

Vat will soon be forgotten and life will go on. We are scared of the unknown. WE shouldn'd be. By exploring we discover new territory and can make adjustments to settle in it. Government has to find ways to curb it's expenditure whether in the ways suggested or otherwise. We need to learn from other countries who have succeeded in doing so. We consume liquor at all cost. We will survive.
