true these homes for victims of hurricane tomas started from the UWP GOV..yes we all know that... WHAT IS MY CONCERN IS THAT DR.K ANTHONY PROMISED IN THEIR SLP MANIFESTO THAT THEY WOULD UNDERTAKE A MAJOR PROJECT IN THEIR 1ST YEAR IN OFFICE... i havent heard nothing from him about that as yet..

most of the roads being repaved nicely was under the last admins UWP...As for SLP Gov. they have understaken so far; 1- N.I.C.E prog
2- S.T.E.P prog.. 3- LABOUR CODE..4- VAT.. they havent to my knowledge built or started to build anything.. in this financial yr they have 6 months to go..b4 the next budget...

[REMB] ST JUDES HOSPITAL, NEW N.hospital and the Meat processing plant [abatroir] ALL BEGAN UNDER THE UWP

Ha ha "Fredick"...FreDICK indeed!! Under the UWP; those projects would have NEVER seen the light of day or came for completion.

Why, FreDICK, whats about the Housing Projects in Marigot?

Those are looking nice; but for heaven's sake, if you are doing something worthwhile, do it properly.

There appeared to be no roof drainage for the porticoes on those houses (the waters from the porticoes will flow freely to and where-ever) - another water problem when it rains!!

Since these houses are in Fond St. Jacques, let us hope that the proper enviromental studies made in order to avoid another diaster.

Trust Kenny to not do things right, and when he does, do it in a hurry. These houses look like doll houses. Boy Malaway ca take iron.

i read the comments above and realize why Saint Lucia is not going anywhere in a hurry. not one of the above so called bloggers point to the alleviation of the pain the fond st. Jacques residents had to undue after hurricane Tomas. today those residents have a place to call home and instead applause are handed around to both administrations for housing those once homeless residents all the bloggers can see to do is politicize the thing.

Those who are praising Frederick i say this. Do not do that. You do not have the facts surrounding the project. i know you don't have the facts because if you did you would not have spoken so gallantly of him.
That is beside the point. the point is if the former administration started the projected, irrespective of how badly they started, and the now government completed it, irrespective of how badly, it is the people of fond st. jacques who have won.

And please stop the politics. it is destroying us. and like all those cowards who hide behind the term 'anonymous' i say this. you are not worthy of writing on The VOICE website. if you are man enough to give criticism give your name.

blogger above i understand your point, and you are correct. this is and should be about the people of Fond St. Jacques. They now have a home and irrespective of which administration started the project or who finished it, it is not about the politicians it's about the people of the deprive community of Fond St. Jacques. and like You I would entreat admirers of Frederick and the UWP to be careful in what they say. The facts of the matter is that Frederick should not be given any mention in that project. the facts speaks for themselves.

"please stop the politics. it is destroying us"

Is this the kind of advise you give whenever the SLP is in power? Everything the SLP have done to date is about politics. Look at the faces brought to work for the country, they are all SLP supporters. I'm I missing something here? Kenny Anthony spent 5 years driving a wage into the country. Let us stop the hypocrisy!!! I am sick of it when it serves the SLP purpose.

"if you are man enough to give criticism give your name"

but you wrote your comment as: wait for it: Anonymous. LOL

Who you fooling. Fool. LOL

Kenny and company are you all really proud of them eleven little huts on stilt like mocko jumbies awaiting the unthinkable to happen? Where are the roads that's a pig playground when it rains zot ka fea malaway bagay we.I would write the same if UWP was in power.

The houses don't look safe enough, earthquake...everything goes down, hurricane...they're wooden.

This is the first project initiated by the UWP that Harold Dalson didn't have a problem with; and that is because this project is in Soufriere; otherwise, Harold Dalson have blocked or try to block the completion of the Babonneau Vending Stalls, the Gros islet Human Resource Center, the Pigeon Point new vending stalls; and I can go on and on and on.

Who elected this fool over Allen Chastenet anyway?

Boy it is rough for the SLP and look like it going to be worsera. LOL. UWP knocking them hard these days on every turn and even LPM finally look good and have gotten in the act. LOL

Things not looking good. What you reap you sow.

On a more visionary note: Coin Lance ( the waterfront),can be developed into a facinating tourist attraction. Imagin: Shpos, restaurants and a museum ( soufriere has an impressive history),and a tourist loves a story; it adds knowledge to the vacation experience.Imagin a walk on the boardwalk after diner: moonlight and the sultry aroma of the seabreeze. Oh, what a post card! But,you know this thought can become a reality? the People Must be involved!!

It look like Jab eat Labour's lunch. What an incompetent government.

There have been massive erosion on this plot of land where Fedricks chose to build those poorly built houses. I say this because previous bloggers make it seems like money was donated by Fredricks. We elect politicians to serve. They do not deserve the praise given them by these party nincompoops. It's about time we wise up. How much of the money donated by foreign entities was pocketed?

Anonymous said...

And how much more will be pocketed by the SLP and their cronies/

Picking the pocketing of the St Lucian people does not end with UWP.

Betta Dazs Ahed said...

i must make reference to ANON..11:19 am... Yes thats a very good vision for soufriere ...i blame both crappy govs although i have an interest in this existing gov..but they nor Uwp..have done anything substancial to uplift Soufriere to new heights..like a real tourist town ..with coble stones instead of tar roads.. iron electric lamps instead of lucelec poles.....flower gardens and beautification of the whole town Esp the waterfront with a brand new Boardwalk like that of st maarten... i know this is a big dream. will it ever happen who knows...

Anyway its true UDC always build homes for malewee..without a playground or park for kids.. without an outlet for hut that can be rented out as a small shop..THIS IS THE STANDARD OF DEVELOPED COUNTRIES WHEN THEY BUILD HOUSING PROJECTS .. its not just homes they add other things to make it look like a real community ..NOT HERE IN FAIR HELEN ..they think and talk backwards and take action as well in that manner

What a step back.
