its nice to know that VH staff are being trained in advance of the opening of the new hospital.. i suppose the same should apply to the st judes hospital..2013 will be a yr of change 4 the better when it comes to our healthcare ..fingers crossed..

but what i have heard is this..from reliable source.. that the new general hospital will NOT BE under the ministry of health BUT UNDER A NEW STATUTORY BOARD..Similar to the one at TAPION HOSPITAL.. this new hospital most likely will be more expensive than VH..so i hope UHC..does come at the advent of our 2 new hospitals..
hopefully patients who pay NIS/NIC..and income tax are allotted cost effective measures to reduce their hospital charges... it may be wiser to have a special board to run the new hospital.. but it may come at a cost.. LASTLY ..keep in mine we are still short of nurses islandwide..+ a good hospital is about the staff and more so the way the administration handles hospital daily protocols..

Poor journalism. Is that the best lead Ms Stephen could have gone with? Come on, Voice, let's get serious here!!! The rest of the story reads like a kindergartener wrote it. Please give us our money's worth.

I hope pracitice improves and the nurses and doctors remember who they are there for. It would also be good to have beahviour standards and stop the staff flirting with each other, whilst on duty, in front of patients as witnessed by myself and others.

I hope the training includes work on good customer service. We can have the best facility, equipment etc but if the workers are not respectful and caring, then it will all be a waste.
