There is a reason or reasons why they (those police officers) got short.
Have you, MrPolice Commissioner, thought of that. Not for anything there THE ONES targeted in this round of shooting spree.

Interesting that Francois only uses such "strong language" when it comes to police officers. Where is this "strong language" when members of the public are at the mercy of these "criminal elements" everyday because his lazy police officers refuse to do their jobs. Francois also needs to use "strong language" to warn the many criminal elements within his own force who disrespect members of the public. Your police officers believe they are above the law and as such feel they can attack and use brute force against ordinary citizens, yet Francois has never used "strong language" to condemn their actions, in fact he defends their ignorant acts. This Francois person is a big joke.

The police need to stop committing crime before they will be shown respect, in addition they pervert the course of justice with the act of taking btibes. Sort out the police then sort out the criminals. Stop the police running strip clubs and taking out their brand of vengence by committing murder themselves. Enough is enough.
I agree that our Police Officers deserve to be respected. Thus the Commissioner's statement is timely and appropriate. However, as a driver who often gives hiking police officers a ride to their destination, it seems to me that placing police officers in this situation makes them vulnerable. They could compromise their police integrity and lose needed respect from certain members of the public.
Francois, you must give respect to get respect!

A few bad apples who promoted themselves out of the force, but left an answerable police faction of fiendish miscreants carrying out the execution orders of the UWP drug baron, has given the police a bad name and reputation.
This my friends is the result of electing people of questionable character into government and positions of power, besides egomaniacs but senile fisherfolk-minded, and sandflies-minded Vincentians like Saint John Compton back into office.
But then again, when an entire constituency is populated and infested with those devoted to making a living out of the narco-industry from grandmothers all the way down to toddlers, they will elect one of their own.
The old Wild West films give us a very good picture of what law-abidding citizens are constantly up against.
You elect complete idiots and social misfits into office and they leave a legacy of idiocy and crime. What's new?

he should make it mandatory for every officer to wear their bullet proof vest. If he had one on the bullet probably would never penetrate him.
People fear those who are respected. When the judicial system is broken. People wilfully break the law. The police must first earn the respect of the people. Marius Wilson can claim he has the police in his back pocket and commit many crimes the a normal person will get. He can stalk women. The police do nothing because he is pays them. Start cleaning out the house then hire new police officers to replace them. Start enforcing laws and holding the guilty accountable. Use radar detectors to stop people who speed. post more speed limit signs. Speeding ticket fines will aid in building revenue and lead to a better equipped police force. the police force is "papishow". Law abiding citizens are going to start teaming together and take the law into there own hands. because the police are not doing it. Sexual assault happen all the time and the police may not even show up to a call. Mr. Commissioner DO YOUR JOB and protect the innocent. investigate this thouroughly and get to the bottom of this and clean house and stop protecting the police officials that are corrupt and get rid of them. or the people will do your job for you.
Seriously, one has to look at the caliber of persons entering the police force and what the force projects. The environment in which they live and operate. The culture of the force. It's political affiliation. The training and behavioral patterns of individuals. A total reorganization is urgently needed. OFFICERS must earn the respect of the public to --protect and serve. Not an authority unto itself and the Blue code of silence.
Officers are losing respect for themselves when they are known to commit crimes themselves.so mr. commissioner start in your home first and i will fully support you as usual
The Police chief is delusional if he thinks that by uttering threats against the citizenry he will automatically conjure up "respect" With the magnitude of crime perpetrated by police officers these days the integrity of the police force is once again compromised. Francois continues to take a lackadaisical view of the conduct of those persons under his command and by and large disregards the fact that they could never be fully respected as long as their own criminal behavior persists.In the local vernacular, "He is spitting in the air and its falling right back on his face." Rather then addressing so called criminals, Francois ought to ensure that his own men are clean. The fact is, there is a criminal element within the Police Force which Francois' ego will just not permit him to recognize. The truth is, Police officers are becoming equals with those they so despise and deem law breakers and they are in turn equally looked upon with much disdain by their equals. Satan cannot correct sin and that's a
fact! So Francois needs to drop the act and face the facts!
Grow up and sort the crime out in St Lucia. What.about the people of St Lucia who are getting murdered and the tourists and the length of time it is taking to get justice. Has St Lucia forgotten that Tourism is their bread and butter? Kenny Anthony - you need to get a grip of things and stop dreaming.

The Police need to shoot any of those rascals who believe they can attack our police officers. These Officers are our husbands, sons, daughters, uncles, fathers. etc.
So go to hell all you rats that don't like what the Commissioner has said.
