I don't think much St lucians are losing too much sleep over SLP's problem with the TUF. It's like mother and children, most of them supporters of the SLP. They will reslove they problem....at the expense of the country.

Government and the Trade Unions are putting a show. They would have already decided on the outcome. The top hunchos of the Trade Unions all are members of the party and were known to be activists during the elections. Some are now canvassing for higher positions in the public service and others are hoping they will be considered for job positions that they are not qualified for... Many among them are busy telling civil servants to think not of going on strike.

The Dr. has the TUF leadership right where he needs them between winning an Election, the IMF, taxation, 15% vat and inflation. What’s the prescription? Now, HE and only HE can make the call.
And maybe, just maybe, Santa Claus will indeed come down from the North Pole just in time for a traditional St. Lucian Christmas.

I said in an earlier post that this whole story of the Unions and the SLP Administration being at odds and about to come to blows is a fraud.

The liberal politicians and the Unions have worked hand in hand to get wealth and power to themselves. The present Union head honchos worked hand in hand with the SLP to get them elected which is why "Kenny" quaralled when the UWP were in power that the civil service must get their pay increases.

Now that the SLP is in power "Tony" is acting as if he cannot pay the Unions but we know the fix is in.

This is all pretence to fool the desttutte Lucians that Kenny is protecting their money and to fool the IMF into thinking he is holding a strong line on salaries.

Now the game is taking another turn. The Unions are pretending that nothing is happening so the next part of the play acting has begun. They calling on Daddy "Kenny" to intervene and we know what is next.

Tony will give them a raise and will be seen as the saviour. so the unions and civils service win, Kenny win and the people of St. Lucia get screwed VAT and all!

You can take that to the bank that more money will be borrowed by Kenny and Phillip to pay the civil service they are expanding with their party hacks.

all a game to protect the interest of the SLP and their voting block the civil service.

The SLP Govt have nothing to worry about. Our people have been so brainwashed so conditioned to operated at the level of the least common denominator by their liberal politicians and environment that with enough rum, food, video games and TV on Kim Kardashian and Hollywood wives( or whatever) we will forget about VAT and increased government spending for the next 3 weeks.

Then we wake up and the urgency has gone out of the issues at hand.

We have really been indoctrinated by the white man so all we will argue about in 2013 is abortion for our young girls and same sex marriage to meet the white liberals agenda in the US and Europe.
