CDB Outlined Imperatives for Members’ Growth

Nice "econospeak" but with few actionable recommendations. Sounds much like a consultant making room for the feasibility study with the prefeasibility report. Do you honestly believe that either Chastenet, Kenny or King can make much of what was written out there other than to simply regurgitate most of it verbatim?

Agreed, tough talk. Choice's one-on-one interviews with the CDB representatives were equally instructive. Today, I looked on as one of our erudite senators had great difficulty even processing/reading the amounts proposed in this year's budget.

It's a pretty sad state of affairs when we're unsure if what comes after a billion is a million or a couple hundred thousand. It appears that innumeracy, as another senator alluded, is real--even in the high echelons of government.

But we have high expectations from people either have avoided mathematics like the plague or show no competence in passing the threshold of competence at the secondary school level to manage a billion dollar economy effectively.

Mathematics shows that you can THINK abstractly. That is an Achilles Heal in our education system.

To date, not one of our leaders past and shows any acknowledgement of the problem. Yet, they blather and froth about jobs.

Today's production technologies require math skills. Our leaders are just too abysmally ignorant of what it will take to turn this economy around.

They may be honestly trying. But, people armed with just a banana-cutting mentality and perspective or purely civil/public service or worst yet, communistic ideological perspective, will no longer cut it!

Watch Mainland China!

SLP promised jobs. They gave us STEP again which is great innovation job scheme for one week in a year which at the last look at the calendar has 52 weeks. They say some in the SLP leadership have a problem with mathematics. It looks so for true.

SLP promised growth. So they joined ALBA. Joining this communist loser group from Latin America and taking new loans with Petro Caribe looks like SLP's great idea of growth. But that what "en rouge" stands for, the red flag of Communism!

Saint Lucians voted for a Trojan Horse. They mistook a six for a nine,

SLP promised accountability and transparency. But their wet behind the ears Minister of Tourism is busy hiding the numbers spent on the latest tourism investment. Their leader declares that the relationship with rent-a-crowd communist Cuba is not for sale. Wow! How profound! This is a country noted for jailing those who blow the whistle. There is no growth there but in the number of prisoners. Has the SLP leader gone for more tutoring communist style?

This reminds us of the last UWP cabal. Oh yes. We see another one is forming. But it is clear to Saint Lucians now, that one set of shysters have only been replaced by yet another set. The people of Saint Lucia are getting screwed left, right, and centre. Therefore we know that when the SLP morons scream "En rouge!", perhaps what they are really saying is "en @%^%$#@ zot!"

The last time he was at the growth conference and looked like a deer caught in the headlights of a car. SLP the party for SOBs.

Our leaders are all stuck in offering tactical approaches to our social and economic problems. It's like dealing with the headache rather than the cause . We need a more long term strategic plan in dealing with the problems facing St. Lucia and the rest of the Caribbean, but I am afraid our myopic politicians can only see as far as the next election,if that much.

We need somebody who can bring ALL Saint Lucians together behind a convincing GROWTH plan.

We all know that the half-@$$& politicians and worse the political leaders some call them, don't know the @$$*$#&$ from their elbows about any of that.

The costume party is now over. The masks are falling off the faces of the imposters. We know who their are.

Some are travelling to get more advice from their communist friends about how to further screw our backsides now that wholesale @$$wholes have voted them into power. En rouge! Day bande sak&^*$#y $@L$#%%%%!

Can someone at The Voice please confirm whether the life expectancy (mortality age) is decreasing in this country? The fact that so many 40- and 50-something-year-olds are dying of health-related causes is troubling. Sound the alarm.

If the Department of Statistics' information is not current, please check with the coroner or the funeral homes for data over the last six months. Has no one noticed this worrying trend? Can people no longer afford their medication due to mounting inflation?

SLP is a callous and insensitive bunch. These imposters have no clue how to run an efficient and effective government.

Cynically, they talk, and talk, and talk about transparency. Yet we get FRENWELL, BLACK BAY, and the unkindest and most obvious communist cut of all, GRENBERG.

Cynically, they talk, and talk, and talk and talk about accountability. But even their new recruits have already fallen into the same pattern of deceit.

The public wants to know the costs of running the government because, we the public, and NOT them, are ones who are going to pay for the foolish mistakes, with punitive measures at the back of it, like the VAT on medicine.

What is happening is that the SLP, with STEP is annually buying votes.

SLP like the goons in the UWP they replaced just care about winning the next election.

STEP then, nothing more than a way to pay the SLP's political base and yardfowls to vote for it, come next election. Each year STEP makes a down-payment.

The decline in average longevity has been a huge health scandal swept under the carpet for years in Saint Lucia, going way back to John Compton. Read this again!

People, being bombarded with spin by party retards and the dishonest hosts of the talk shows have blind-sighted Saint Lucians from examining the fact that the chemical residue from banana production have been eroding the health of the population.

If you read back issues of publications like the journal entitled, "Environment", you will find support for this regarding our kidney disease problem.

Oh sorry! Sorry! I am really, really sorry! I forgot. Poor me! What was I thinking?

Saint Lucians hate anything that comes from between the pages of a book or booklet. Propaganda and spin from party hacks is all the independent knowledge the education system has taught them to understand.

Added to this, and to add insult to injury, this elected moronic government has seen it fit to impose a VAT on medicine.

Is this a secret aspect of their poverty reduction programme?

Little wonder George Hoodlum's political wonder boy, sees communist Cuba as the shinning example and fitting economic model for his enlightened government.

Saint Lucia they say, is idiot country.

Interesting concept, above. If it hasn't already been done, maybe someone should undertake a zonal study to determine whether those recently (last five years or so) diagnosed with cancer or renal failure reside in the banana belt.

The Ministry of Agriculture should also ensure that farms once used for banana cultivation aren't now being used for "diverse" crops. That soil has been tainted by pesticides. Who knows how long it'll take to either cleanse or rehabilitate those farms--if that's at all possible. Expert advice?

Zonal study? Run-off from farms have zones? Yes. Perhaps if you consider that the 5-10 mile ribbon of water hugging the coastline, where we get our pot fish, a zone.

The only growth our leading politicians in government know anything about is the growth of their bellies. Or just like Pinocchio, that of their lying noses.
