The quality of the delegates' decision and level of thinking is reflected in the lack of diversity in their selection. Look at where they have placed their only rising star, and one without all their political baggage, Dr. Rigobert.

UWP is the same old group of political dinosaurs and retards seeking to replace another equally jaded group across the aisle.

The mentality of this group is to present heavily discredited, ex-convicts, liars before the courts, drug barons and their manipulated puppet eunuchs, cheats and doctors without a moral compass again before the electorate. Only people of their character will approve of these dragged up POS.

Unfortunately, half of the population of Saint Lucia strongly approves and adores such failing characters and POS as worthy representatives to the world and the people of Saint Lucia. Sad.

What do you expect when facing the following - 60% of job seekers have education levels below secondary school, 33% have a secondary school education (with CXC), and 7% have tertiary level education. Per capita income estimate for 2011 is US$7,379.

These are the decision makers in the ballet box! A reflection of the elected officials. Were in trouble big time!

King knew that he wanted be a politician from an early age. And,he had the time and the opportunity to educate himself and travel...become knowledgeable! but, he never did. Instead he chose to occupy a cozy chair with the emasculated gang of Comption's yes-men; just like Allan Bousquet. On the other hand Chastnet is more passionate about politics, and that quality could help unite the People of St.Lucia.

It is sad, very sad indeed, come sunday the people will fail to do the right thing. Knowing St.Lucians as I do, they will crawl back into their cocoons, put on their blinders and vote to keep King. King is not a bad guy but certainly not P.M. material. With all his rookie mistakes, Chastanet is Univercity graduated x 2, have lived and well travelled, accustomed with the ways and methods of business internationally. But dirty local politics, within his own party will hurt him big time. Not to mention the fear that runs through the Labour camp with Chastanet at the helm will come to play its part. The party is doomed to have King as leader, and sadly Dr. Rigobert will realize she made a mistake by coming into politics with king as leader.

Dr. Rigobert perhaps was thinking that the membership of the UWP would become and act a little more mature, and that the movers and shakers within that party would start to rebuild the party, but without the usual miscreants with all their boatloads of political excess baggage of liars before the OECS Court of Appeal, drug barons, doctors selling their patients' medical records, ex-convicts from US jails, cabinet members using cabinet as a den of inequity to steal money from the public purse, for their cabinet friends.

This is the stinking political cesspool that was the last UWP government.

The self-esteem of UWP members is so damn low that they feel that this is kinds of people to represent them and the country. These social misfits are still hell-bent on continuing the political circus and caricature.

No cabinet member who became involved in willingly robbing the public purse is fit for public office. They can have 100,000 academic degrees, or for that matter, none at all.

Saint Lucians behave like dogs. They return to and joyfully lap up their own vomit.

Allen Chastanet, whose father already own half of St.Lucia, should never, ever be allowed to become the political leader of the UWP; and by extention, a potential Prime Minister.

The son of the richest man in St.Lucia becoming Prime Minister is frightening.

Above:How does wealth disqualify one from being the Prime Minister of St.Lucia? You need to act responsibly and explain you position.

The interest of the rich usually runs contrary to the interest of the poor; now tell me, whose interest will Allen, as Prime Minister, advance? The interest of my poor father or the interest of his rich father?

As a member of cabinet, I have no real problem with that; but as Prime Minister, there'll be a major conflict of interest.

Micah,
What motivated you to write this article? (2)What was it designed to achieve?
Please enlighten me.
Your time could have been more productively spent by finding and printing THE ALBA OIL AGREEMENT CONTRACT and including your opinion as to whether it is in the interest of ST.LUCIA in the short term, long term or both.

I understand Bram Bram is now in a high unmerited position in the ministry of infrastructure.

Micah is not mature enough to understand that credentials alone is not enough. We have for example, where economists as PM have placed their countries' economies in jeopardy with their policies.

If Saint Lucians were generally honest and not people waiting on political masters to feed them, NEITHER of these two tainted characters would offer themselves up for office.

Saint Lucians are just too ignorant and just to dumb to understand the issues related to conflict of interest.

If your parent has MONOPOLISTIC CONTROL of an entire sector of an economy, I cannot see how a son will not violate the principle of conflict of interest if that person is not only in a position to make decisions favouring the parents' business interests.

Don't blame me if you just happen to be too dumb to understand the perils of the potential removal of concessions for food barrels to strengthen the Chastanet food monopoly, consumers being fleeced with higher prices with no political relief, when they buy food in Saint Lucia, or numerous and strange concessions that will go to special classes of hotels in the country that will benefit the Chastanets where they have their investments.

For our sakes, I hope that I will never ever have to say "I told you so"!

The Tuxedo Villa Affair in a cabinet full of rogue politicians, with one of the chief actors offering himself here, having problems with the facts of this case brought before the OECS courts, do point to serious violations on the part of both, with respect to reasonable and expected ethical and moral behaviour of government ministers.

Neither of these flawed characters can be trusted with the public purse, or be allowed to further abuse the public's trust again!

UWP just keeps on recycling its Ps of $#!t.

Under which party did Chastanet acquire his monopolistic control of the Supermarket chain in St.Lucia? What does qualification have to do with ability? Is Kenny doing a better job managing the economy than King did? Is Kenny trained in Finance? And what was the point of this ridiculous article anyway?

Micah you like to ask very stupid questions. Chastanet was always more qualified. After all he has white skin. You do not seem to know where you are. Wake up and smell the coffee.
