No, you are wrong. Don't ever underestimate Michael Chastanet.
This man don't do anything in business to fail. You don't understand how he works.
Just watch and see what next he comes up with. The way his mind works, is somewhat the way that Elwin Marselin, Valmont and old man J.Q. Charles's mind did work. i.e. dogged hard work, tenacity, persistent early morning hard work.
The reason most of our people never succeed is because they expect handouts, hiding behind trade unions, refusing to go back to the 'soil' in exchange for soft jobs in an office environment.

You have to start with a VISION, for without a vision, our people shall perish. We party too much, st.Lucia has too many statutory and religious HOLIDAYS for a young developing nation. People are broke but they buy the most expensive cars; how beautiful.

Watch out, I believe Michael has something up his sleeves. I don't think he is the type of business man who do things half-ass or play a failing card game.

The outlook for St. Lucia is economically quite bleak for at least the next 5-7 years. Devaux almost sold everything and Michael is doing the same. Hardly any houses are being sold and very few new ones are under construction. Foreigners who have build houses 10-15 years ago want to leave due to advanced age and health. A pile of homes are for sale. Even fairly new homes are not selling at 30% below cost.

Michael must have seen something most of us haven't. He is too shrewd a businessman not to have smelt a rat. He took the temperature of the economic situation, not only in St. Lucia, but the eastern Caribbean countries, and must have decided, to bail out while he can.
These politicians will bury these Islands with their outmoded ideas and left wing ideologies.

9:08 AM the bad economic situation is not unique to St Lucia, Nearly the whole world is suffering from it. So keep your left wing ideologies NONSENSE to yourself. As a matter of fact the left wind countries are doing better, than your so called tight wing countries, Even the mighty USA is not doing well. So please keep quiet.

Must you post your blog three times, would that make him understand your point of view better, or was it just simply a mistake on your part by posting it three time?

I concur with you, however.

SOMETHING STINKS IN THIS STATE OF SUPER J.

SOMETHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY; BUT NOT IN THE INTEREST OF THE ST. LUCIAN CONSUMER IS AROUND THE CORNER.

TRICKS; TRICKS AND MORE TRICKS.

WHY SELL TO FOREIGN SHAREHOLDERS; WHEN THE COMPANY COULD HAVE OFFERED SHARES TO THE GENERAL ST. LUCIAN PUBLIC?

I TRUST NOTHING CHASTANET DOES. AND FOR GOOD REASON.

NOTE: THE LEFT-WING IDEOLOGY IS MAKING AA BAD SITUATION MUCH, MUCH WORSE.

THAT IS A FACT. WE CAN NO LONGER BE FOOLED.

We need to get global. Business deals and transactions are daily occurrences in developed countries like the US. Let's get used to it. Don't make a bigger deal out of it. Most importantly, we need to move on and don't let Michael think like he is going to be missed.

Mr. Michael Chastanet, you can continue with selling the hotel chain. Your SON will NEVER, NEVER EVER EVER become Prime Minister of Saint Lucia so by the first quarter of this year I am advising you to re-purchase your shares from Neal & Massy. If that was your strategy to ensure that Saint Lucians do not blame your son and you for the high cost of food prices, then you have so many things coming. The child is a neophyte; and you did not raise and train him well. You spoilt him and now its playing itself all out in the public's face.
