In my opinion removing the dead end at grass street would nt have much effect. come to think of it, it creates an easier escape route for drive-bys. I agree that the area is a troubled spot. at one time i was caught in a shoot out at that spot. it was carnival 07, the criminals ran pass me and my two mates.
you need like 4 SSU officers standing there 24/7 with bullet proof vest and armored helmets. Spray some m16 bullets from time they start they stupidness.
you need like four SSU officers there 24/7. Fully armed with m16 rifles and helmets with bullet proof vest ready for war and kill them as soon as they start they s&%t.
Excellent, peace loving and trigger happy island; St Lucia.
Why can't the authorities (police force) find these petty criminals - wearing masks or unmasks? It just baffles me; 238 sq. miles, less than 170,000, and criminals walking the streets and shotting with impunity. Something is dreadfully, dreadfully wrong - not with the people but with those at helms...
We need more patrols(both foot and motor) in those high crime areas. another possibility could be to have helicopters zoom in on those areas both day and night. The church needs to go to those areas as well. Criminals and gangs cannot be left to control our lives. let's take our country from them. But first things first...the right minds must be in to effect significant changes.
No, what you really need is a hangman on the corner for public hangings. The criminals are sissies and are scared to die, so start hangin em now before we end up like Trinidad.
It frightens me when I read such stories about St Lucia. It is the country of my birth and my family still live there. I am gravely concerned that I may not feel comfortable to live there in my more advanced years. I am mindful that crime happens everywhere. There is crime in the UK where I live. But I cannot help feeling a sense of fear and a level of distress to read such news. I do not feel qualified to comment about the proposed changes to address this crisis. However any attempt to address this problem is something worth doing. Good luck.

St. Lucia will soon be renamed La Violencia if things continue unabated in this fashion.
