Hmmmm .... when I was at school (SJC in the 1960's & 1970's), no school child in her school uniform was allowed to be seen after 6:00 p.m. on the streets, unless accompanied by their parent(s), or an adult.

Any school child found unaccompanied after 6:00 p.m. on the street would be severely reprimanded by the school authorities. Suspension was the norm.

The same rule was followed at Ave Maria and RC Boys Primary Schools, as well as SMC and the 7th Day Adventist Secondary School.

IT WORKED.

Those very students from the '60's and '70's, are now parents (and/or teachers) today. They should THINK and KNOW what a school uniform represents. As well as comply with discipline and dignity of rules and regulations which form a positive society.

NO SCHOOL CHILD SHOULD BE SEEN AFTER 6PM IN THEIR SCHOOL UNIFORM ON THE CITY STREETS ... The schools (sadly now run by Government) should enforce this action. NOW ...

Good story is say's in a nut shell that we st.lucians are disconnectedto the reality of the situations around us and instead of st.lucians stand up as a people to take control of society we gramble with each other. I am even concern as well about these potential candidates for politics who has lived their entire life aboard, can they really relate to st.lucia diverse problems.
