The Visual Arts In Education

It is interesting that Ms Simon's article should be printed in The Voice, at the same time, that my artist colleagues and myself are in the process of discussing the following "newsweek" article: http://www.newsweek.com/2010/07/10/the-creativity-crisis.html
It is sincerely hoped that the MINISTER FOR EDUCATION, his P.S. and other assistants in the MINISTRY OF EDUCATION & CULTURE read both these articles. (Swallow and digest it as well.)
It seems to me that both articles are squarely pointing fingers at this ministry, as well as the people who think that creative art, and all that it embodies (entertainment and culture), is not relevant to our education and way of life.
Just about all materials we buy, own and need ... has to begin on a "drawing board".
