Check SLASPA and Royal Caribbean and the plans they have for royal caribbean doing development work on the castries port.
then have a look at Front Street on the island of St Maarten as wellas St.Croix...how most of that street in St Maarten is now used for shops owned by cruise ship companies.This looks like plans of the desperate,I mean moving gov't offices into rental properties.Why do I say so?

The main reasons the expert gives for the continuing suffering of the caribbean economies including St.Lucia's is that the islands are (a)heavily dependent on tourism and (b)that our economies are tied to the falling U.S economy.
We need to do something quickly.
My question: Do we love the States so much that we are willing to sink with them,even when alll experts are warning of the coming collapse of the U.S economy even their own senators?

what does the China move signify?
Simply this:China is no longer willing to invest it's reserves in the US economy.They are no longer willing to continue buying U.S debt.Put on your thinking St.Lucians,think what this will do to the US economy and to our economy if we are unwilling to divorce the US and it's sinking economy.Think of the attendant social unrest and civil disorder in St.Lucia with accompanying police repression and brutality as the Government tries to come to terms with the potential internal discord as it tries to follow the line of its US masters to which the SLU government seems suicidally married.
Additionally Antigua and Barbuda have signed agreements with Morocco and other African countries signalling that they are slowly moving away from dependence on the US economy.Additionally the following article found on www.caribbean360.com entitled:Barbados explores joint venture with Netherlands...these moves tell a story,and there are lots more as other nations move away from the sinking US econmmy.
We need to take charge of our affairs and make sure that the government DOES what we want and not what they want....additionally I heard that King does not listen to people who do not agree with him.....coming dictatorship??
We need to do some heavy soul searching fellas.

In March of this year tourism minister was a guest speaker at the sea trade conference in miami he made mention how they was going to develop the castries habour into a gig cruise ship port and the representative at the cruise lines had a big picture of the development of the port of castries. listening to mr chastenet he is phony and these guys are not for st lucians they have and agenda please my fellow st lucians wake up and think How did the FCCA came to st lucia when they was lredy plan for guatemala Each participant paid $700.00 us to come to st lucia but what did minister chastenet did,Gave the FCCA over $2million dlrs us and still pay for food entertainment,transportation,etc Watch out st lucians and wake up
