Yeah right. What is the current status of the external reserves of the ECCB?
We are particularly interested in knowing the trends observed in those reserves from 1988 to this date. So we can see how things were going over time.
As well as the income earned from the ECCB external reserves and the ECCB's EXPENDITURE over that same period.
Then we can begin to dialogue. It would be useful to present that type of data over that period to the people of the ECCU Union; so they can assess the ECCB's performamce for ourselves.
It would be useful to provide the public through publication in leading newspapers or the official gazette; year- by -year balance sheets and earnings statements over the period 1988-2013.
This is the period that Dwight Venner has been leading the ECCB.
As far as we see it; after almost one quarter of a century; there is dire need for a fresh team at the Head of the ECCB. That includes both the Governor and the Deputy Governor; who worked with Venner at the Ministry of Finance in St. Lucia.
How has the finances of the ECCB itself as a Regional Instittution performing over the twenty-five years of Venner as its Head?
Now he is finding everything wrong with everything. Where was he these twenty-five years to see where it was going wrong and to make it better?
Just a bunch of TALK, TALK, TALK and no positive action; and therefore NO advancement of the Sub-region; and that's why we are right where we are.
We are fed-up with these guys believing that they are so intellectual and must be in charge of everything, everywhere and cannot produce anything worthwhile.
They are so good; yet they won't leave the Public Office and establish some private business enterprise and create some employment.
These fellars are just plain Public Service PARASITES; in the worst forms; and in every nook and cranny.
Placing their cohorts in jobs for which they are not competent or trained to undertake.
