Placing the money in the consolidated fund(or separate account)does not ensure it will be used (completly)for what it was intended for. please remember that the money the NCA(National conservation Authority)got and used(bobal)as they pleased came out of the consolidated fund. If Kenny Anthony really wants to show that the money is properly spent, then he would put a board(comprising of reps. from the Chamber of commerce, the PS,minister of finance,a nonimee from the Governor general, one from the UWP,TWO from the Government, one from NYC and one from the church council)to oversee the use of the funds and to publish quarterly reports to the public. You would recall he praised Janine Compton for reading in the house
how she spent the Tywan funds. Now it's his turn to submit his account and that of ministers to the house and the people of St.lucia. Anything less would show that his opposition to the money being placed in the town and village councils had nothing to do with transparancy and accountability.
A A you mean more money for St. jude and de place is still a big white elephant. Where all de other money gone? Kenny accepting big money from Taewan, since when? boy politics makes strange bed fellows. Is Pat Brown party to the consultancy of the project? and who else in 'de party' getting a slice of the project pie? So dats why they fighting so hard to stay in power. Por Jab St.Lucia. Better days ahead?
Just returned from SuperJ's at Rodney Bay. On Monday of this week, I bought Richport Chunk Light Tuna in Vegetable oil, 70g, for EC$2.39. Today - three days later; I bought that same Canned Tuna for EC$2.54.
What has happened for that huge hike for the price of this Tuna?
Yeah, and this is the man we want to be PM of St Lucia. God forbid!!
I didn't know kenny had a super market? but he gave us the VAT. what are you worried about, we all voted him in. All politicians are liars, didn't you know, sucker.
No, I am not a sucker for making a valid observation; an observation that has direct effects on all our pockets, including you. Of course,I am aware Kenny is not owner of any supermarket in St Lucia.
Indeed, VAT was introduced under his administration, but regardless of which party/administration had won the election, VAT would have being introduced. St Lucia had no say in introducing VAT. Ref. our powers in play!!
Still wondering and fuming at the St jude delemna in that after the fire, Millions were given as aide to the former government, and I rest assure that if moneys that was given to the then government was used for its purpose, we should have the biggest and most advance hospital in the Caribbean. Who's to blame for the mess that st jude find itself
Why is it when money is involved for the good and welfare of the people, politicians always end up making a mess of things. I am mad like hell that the St. Jude Hospital is put in the cold storage for political reasons. God forbid that a Plane end up (I don't even want to say the word) and you send the victims to that hell hole of that obsolete play ground. (thanks to communist money). When will politicians begin to pay more attention to the plight of the poor and less on their own personal agenda. ( What did you say, when cows can fly? )
Still can't believe St. Jude has not been completed. The stadium is now more of a hospital than a stadium. How is it o.k for our sick people to be in that place? Nobody seems to care. There is no sense of urgency to get the people out of there. We just wait and wait and talk and talk and nobody protests. It's like we believe we deserve this. So sad!
