Hmmmm....I wonder why nobody ever responds to articles like this one?
No room for maliciousness? Gossip? Politics?

Well I think that was a great story! There is hope, encouragememnt, and a time for reflection on how it used to be, and can be again if we change course now.

Thanks Earl, and may God truly bless you and yours during this season, for this "balm in Gilliad" at a time like this.

Take note all you "Anonymouses"!

Cheers!

I would return it to the owner, in my country there is a charge of stealing by finding, if its not yours give it back. I understand that if you hand it in to the police station they will probably take it. I was at the hospital recently and before the poor person had died the relatives removed everything including the wedding ring because its known that there would be nothing to claim at the end because the nurses would take it, this saddened me greatly, I was horrified at this, it doesn't say much for the morals of the country.
I believe that what the child did in America is more the norm, and should be expected rather than people be surprised at his actions.

Exellent article...A real breath of fresh air and sunshine. A well deserved break from the gossip, crime, politics and name callimg...For a reader it feels like getting out of a dark, damp and cold prison cell and into an open field.

No doubt it really is dishonest to to keep what you get. It is such an overwhelming feeling to return what you get. Many people don't understand this for they have never experienced it... You feel good and the other party feels good to retrieve their loss...It's good feelings all around... For those who don't return stuff they've found, try returning it and see how good you'll feel...It is a whole lot better feeling than if you keep the stuff that don't belong to you.

This character was part of a government that took everything it could get of the people's wealth under the guise of borrowing. A billion dollars of debt placed on the backs of our children and grandchildren. Endless travelling. Money stolen at the NCA and the list goes on and on..

This is even worst than finding money on the floor and returning it.

So his government could misappropriate or mismanage hundreds of millions to fund political campaigns and give the sLP bigshots the wealth to buy land , etc and this person has the gall to come and talk about "Is it dishonest to keep what you get ?. $300 vs $1,000,000,000. What a joke.

Yuo see why we can get nowhere as a people because we have convenient memories and want to be convenient moralists. Imagine a Kenny Anthony acolyte during the 1997 -2006 administrations giving us lessons about morality !!

This says much about the convenient moralists heaping praise on this writer who supported all the crap of the SLP administrations. This is the hypocracy that Mr. Wayne talks about that will forever keep us backward.

It goes to show the problem with st lucia is not kenny but the thousands who will pass off anthing just so long as they get a piece of the pie.

The SLP Government was PUT IN CHARGE of the people's welfare and assets and they put a sword to the treasury.

If you found $300 and kept it then that is bad but if you are put in charge of a country's business and you plunder it then that is evil. Where was Bousquet during that period ? Hypocrite.

Below is from an article in the St. Lucia Star newspaper.

"The second proposition is that the Minister of Finance (Kenny Anthony) by his undisciplined, abysmal and unprofessional handling of that most important ministry, has created a major problem of governance for other ministries (including Education) and for the entire country. Interestingly, this is a charge that many St. Lucians had leveled at Kenny Anthony years before the former P.S. found his own loquacious voice. Such was the strength of his attack on the prime minister and so glowing was his praise for Mario by Jules that it was clear both the finances of the country and the office of prime minister would be better served by Mr Michel. The sad conclusion from that speech is that both the Labour party and St. Lucia are in the hands of an indisciplined, unprincipled, opportunistic and weak politician who has shown only a fake compassion and little focus and appreciation for the nation’s pressing monetary and budgetary problems, including civil service reforms, and who has been on an uncontrolled spending binge ever since new Labour got into government. The employment of new technocrats, some of whom were not worthy, is unbecoming of strong leadership, according to Dr Jules, especially considering our dire financial situation. Dr Jules believes that the prime minister will be condemned by history for vacillating in the face of clear challenges and frankly, for being too pedestrian and too crassly opportunistic in serious matters of statecraft. This is harsh criticism indeed, especially coming from an insider with first-hand information. St Lucians are, therefore, bound to stop and pay attention. To many, Dr Jules has gone the extra step in preparing the ground to ensure that all vacillators get their desserts from the record of history. The scathing attack on the Ministry of Finance by Dr Jules will certainly do much more than merely raise a few eyebrows. It has struck such a serious blow at the credibility of the Minister of Finance, who also happens to be leader of New Labour, that many will feel justified in their continued condemnation of the government and the Ministry of Finance."

We will give back Mr. Buosquet the $300 if he will get the SLP Administrations of 1997 -2006 to give back the $1,000,000,000.

Yes these people are having a field day SLP did this, SLP did that, but they forget we have a government in office today. Let us discuss what they are doing or not doing in the country. Kenny is in the past we cannot change what he has done, but this present government can still move from it distructive path and try to do something good in or for the country. So they are the ones we should be putting pressure on.
