as long as the any government does not invest real money in education, sporsts, and music, we are doomed. they do not invest a dame cent into sports, let change all sports courts into educational facilities ( put up walls and a roof on them), give a budget to uplift youth with talent, invest in film and movie prduction so we can access a billion dollar faset. the police can not save us from crime only the decision made by the government can make a difference but that is another story.

With all due respect to Mr. George, the answer lies in legalization, not more law enforcement and more violence. When a substance (like alcohol in the past) is legalized, ALL the violent crime and corruption associated with it immediately disappears. We in St. Lucia can only end violent crime and grow our ecomony when we come to our senses and realize that the "War on Drugs" is the PROBLEM, not the solution. As for American or British involvement, that would be like trying to put out a fire by pouring gasoline on it. Things would get much bloodier and much worse. After all, it is America's failed and racist policy called the War on Drugs which got us into this mess in the first place.

Apply the law of Sinagpore in St. Lucia. Drugs trafficing death penalty. Illegal firearms, lifetime in prison.Problem will be solved by almost 100%.

Doc Noss, i agree. Most states in the U.S are now realizing keep it illegal people will still smoking. Just legalize it and tax it. It puts a strain on our resources, you can't never win the war on drugs. California thinks they can make over 3 billion us a year by just taxing it.

brother if you fight the drug trade you will send us to hell, take away the little money that nearly 15000 plus, young men and women who have to sell 4 or 8 five bags a day to get throught the day to servive in order to get a meal. if you fight them you will have 1500 plus unemploied youth around the country, you have just created a monster, now you will have 15000 murderers, thiefs, and con artistes. what will you do then? the truth is not even the USA will stamp out drugs it brings in 40persent of thier national income. think about that. do not shake the bees nest.
