So many Saint Lucian women have taken the same route as Cherry - pretending to care about the plight of women only to expose themselves as being more concerned about their own personal interests. What difference did Lorraine Williams, Sarah Flood, Heraldine Rock, or Menissa Rambally make to the situation of women when they held office? What makes us think Cherry will be any different?
Ms. Cherry has done a disservice to women by taking a partisan political route. I hope CAFRA kicks her out and replaces her with someone else who doesn't use CAFRA as a stepping stone for her own aggrandizement.
Those of us who had not seen this coming must be totally blind. I have been saying for the past few years that Miss Cherry has an ulterior motive in place, and it does not encompass the women of this country. Her interest in the past three years or so had changed entirely to politics, especially when she realized that Miss Rambally was now out of the picture, and she felt for sure that the SLP would commit suicide if they went to the polls without a woman or women of the ballot. That was her time to move and try to find face with the SLP to slip her in somewhere. Forming her own party would be too much work, and it was her own self she was interested in and not that of other women. The truth has finally come out, but it will be to no avail, as I doubt she will ever be handed anything on a sliver platter in the way she expects.

If you read the story it has noting to do with politics, it has to do with a woman that has turned her back on womans rights to govern thier own movement.Women have the power so they must use it. Why dont you read fool.

All along, Cherry has been all about herself. She has never really made any serious attempt to hide this. Her support for women's causes has not gone beyond platitudes and pandering. She has never attempted to get to the bottom of women's problems and has been satisfied with borrowing large excerpts from speeches and papers written by others. All her statements and articles on the privtazation of WASCo were borrowed. She has not come up with one original idea on the subject. BTW, has she said anything on the water issue since the drought?

It's all about propoganda to benifit the UWP. You see how he took on Franklin Mcdonald? What make you believe that Flavia would receive any favourable treatment? This guy is a flambeau hack plain and simple.

I am an eighteen year old female with no interest in Party thus may be the only unbias person here.Ms Cherry seems to be a level headed Woman this article only seeked to encourage her to do what most people seem to think her capable of to ask her to not unestimate her ability.to point out that she will do women a greater deal if she started her own movement by women for women with a greater interest in the well being of our country since women are natural caregivers and protectors they will act like a mother providing care and love to all in need whether or not we deserve or we were born from their womb and not join a party be it UWP or SLP.I don't see the writer being partisan that is bashing her because she join SLP.If he is a uwp party hack and she joined uwp i would think he would pull her aside and put his views on the table he wouldn't put it in the papers.iether way he would be looking out for her best interest and that of women of our great nation.KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK
To Miss Cherry i say don't stop being a fighter for us all.We are born leaders always let ur light shine no matter who may try to bring u down .History has shown that we have fallen to great men just the same as men fallen at our feet.ps good idead if u headed ur own party and not be a follower
