The ROYAL Saint Lucia Police Force knows that it is far better off without Ausbert Regis, and it knows why. When Politicians like Kenny Anthony and his cabal learn to be decent men, men worthy of sitting in an Honourable House like Parliament, where they refer to themselves as Honourable this, and Honourable that, playing stinking politics with the lives of Saint Lucians, we in this country, would not have to waste our scarce resources to defend a legitimate transfer of a public officer from one department to another. Ausbert Regis' appointment was made by the Public Service Commission, and like any other senior public officer can be transferred from one department to another. Who transferred former Police Commissioner BRIAN BERNARD to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs? I hope it was not under Kenny Anthony's administration, I cannot quite recall. Please advise me through this BLOG.

Kenny Anthony has alot to suffer for, including generations of his children for the havoc he wrecked upon St. Lucia. He played the nastiest politics ever seen in the history of St. Lucia's Police Force. They too, helped to kick out his Government, and he damn well knows this.He now has the nerve to want to be a leader in St. Lucia? Bare=face and arrogant.KENNY and TONY. I hope this Government through Reginald Amour, bring an end to this stinking shit.We are not fooled Kenny Anthony, we are not fooled. You stinking rat.

While respecting employment rights of workers. Surely the PM has the right to relocate a officer if he so chooses. Let's not forget he was not the most sucessful Commissioner.

As to the comments pertaining to Kenny Anthony, please remermber the SLP have been in opposition for nearly five years,we can't keep blaming Kenny for our current woes. Surely its time for the PM ,and the Minister of Internal Security and others in the government take responsibility.

If Ashley is a serving police officer God help us.He claims that St. Lucians are satisfied with the efforts taken by the Police and Government, well I am non political an I am most disatisfied as are most people I speak to of diverse political affilations.
So just incase the Police is under the illusion we are satisfied with their performance let categorically tell you all we are not

I read this excerpt and in defense to Ashley, I think he (Ashley) was referring to the public being satisfied with actions re changes within the hierarchy of the Police dept in addition to efforts made by them (Police)so far to try to stem this potential criminal disaster looming. Let us understand context clues people when reading and although the editor is responsible for properly phrasing his sentences, we the readers sometimes display our poor level of comprehension which can be corrected by frequent constructive reading. In light of the COP issue I am content with the removal of the Commissioner/Farmer, since the general consensus about him was that he was unapproachable and pompous. However we all know that taking the aforementioned action is not going to be the ultimate fix for Crime. The fix I think is a collective National approach from us as St.Lucian Nationals to reign in the perpetrators, focus on better parenting, encourage our kids educationally so that long term we can have a more diverse working environment thereby improving the job sector and ultimately promoting entrepreneurship. I am a strong supporter of democracy but it appears to be a failure now. It is evident that in a small nation like ours we have Political parties who don't seem to have a clue on proper governance and appear to follow a primitive style of leadership. We do possess intelligent individuals who show tremendous leadership qualities on both sides, but this partisan politics is what's killing us nationally. As a result we are looking like a hopeless Nation searching for help on what to do. It is for this reason that I do not like party politics since there is a a great chance for us to suffer from a gridlock in the governance of our nation. I am hoping that we take this Crime situation for what it is, put aside the partisanship and unite to win this War on Crime in St.Lucia.

I want the writer to explain to us which moves has the government done that the public is largely satisfied with? All i know they have done is to change the commission with another from the same force, who has no new ideas.

#1, do you really believe Kenny is suffering more than the poor people of St Lucia, under a government who has achieved nothing in 4 years? I wish i was suffering like Kenny, i suppose you are better of than Kenny. We the people of St Lucia know all the achievements of Kenny, it is there all over St lucia for us all to see. Everywhere we go we can point out, Kenny did this, Kenny did that, from Gros Islet to VIeux Fort, that is why he will win the next election. Like it or not. You could discredit Kenny as you want, but we all know he is 100% better than the present government. St Lucia was doing much better under Kenny than it is doing now. that is a fact.

#1, how can you live with yourself or even among your companions with so much HATE in your tone, in your stomach, in your mind and in your thought. People like yourself need an intense psychiatric evaluation and be medicated for your sickness. God help you.

I didn't quite see Ausbert Regis as unapproachable and pompous, but I saw him as a man completely out of his depths, incompetent at the job, and not respectful to the Officers he worked with. No doubt from all accounts they are relieved when he was gone. In fact, from what is being discussed, the officers are of the view that he is preposterous believing that he should have remained.

I have waited long for an opportunity to comment on the removal of the Police Commissioner by the Prime Minister, and I must tell you that I am forever greatful. Before I proceed allow me to pose this question? Who Is Ausbert Regis? Was he born for this position, that he beleive that he should not have been moved or reassigned. Mr Ausbert Regis must remember that no one is above the law, we all have to fall in line and that also includes the Police Commissioner. He should have been greatful that he wasn't outright fired that he was given an opportunity to acquire additional skills whilst performing his new assignments. Or is Mr. Regis contesting his removal on the fear of having the skeletons in his closet revealed?

Ausbert be thankful for having an opportunity to serve your Country. For after all that should be your sole concern, having given the previlege to be a servant to your fellow St. Lucian. God Bless! And when I last Check Mr Stephenson King is the Prime Minister....No..
and in his job description he has the authority to make these decisions whenever the need arises.

Are you not ashamed to say that King is our PM? Who elected King as our PM? Compton use to call Odlum communist but he was the real communist because he is the one who hand picked his SUCCESSORS like Castro does. Remember Vaugh Lewis, now we have King.

GOD DAMN AND CURSE ALL THOSE DRUG-TRAFFICKERS, COCAINE TRANSHIPERS AND CORRUPTERS IN SAINT LUCIA. THIS IS WHAT HAS BROUGHT THE COUNTRY TO THE DOGS, LIKE JAMAICA AND GUYANA. YOU ALL HAD BETTER SORT IT OUT FAST, IF EVEN FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR CHILDREN AND YOUR CHILDRENS CHILDREN.

I say amen to the blogger above. I could not have said it better.

Is Stephenson King still the Prime Minister of St. Lucia? And is Kenny Anthony still the Leader of the Opposition Party in St. Lucia? If, that says a heck of alot, about the level of intelligence in that country. And most importantly, the values of that Society.

By the way, you Saint Lucians must recognise that Stephenson King did not remove Ausbert Regis, on the basis of what was good or bad for St. Lucia, if that was the case, he would have either:-

(1) Established a Commission of Inquiry into the Operations of the Force, live on television so all the world could have got the facts, about what exactly was going on in that place, and/or
(2) Tell the Nation what he knew from the Police Officers themselves.

You are all COWARDS and HYPOCRITES. Why don't you folks learn to say what is the truth. Face the Nation and be accountable. Tell them the truth. You all are the servants of the people. For my part, get going, and get going fast, former Police Commissioner.

Ausbert Regis should go to work. he cannot be ill when he shows up in court and on his estate. If he wishes people to ahve respect for him he should report for work while his case is being considered by the Courts. Ausbert Regis is stealing taxpayers money by accepting Grade 20 salary for doing NOTHING. But then again he did NOTHING worthwhile while he was Commissioner.

This case is a nonsense, the only winners will be the lawyers on both sides.whoever advised Regis they judgement is also questionable.
