LIAT advises of new St. Lucia tax for travellers

But according to Chastanet, LIAT is the one responsible for the high air-fares between Caribbean islands.

Why are there so many airport taxes for St. Lucia
Sales Tax: $ 4.43 USD
Passenger Facility Charge: $ 25.00 USD
Airport Development Tax: $ 4.82 USD
Airport Authority Taxes: $ 1.50 USD
Airport Passenger Taxes: $ 35.00 USD

What is the reason for all these different airport taxes.
