I wish to take issue with your comments regarding the end of your peace, a government is there to serve everyone in the country, never should preferences or priority be given to anyone because they voted for the government. Remember democracy is a level playing field for all, if you have bought favours and get them then this government will be the same old.......

this evening news on mond 19th the new PM stated that now is not the time to start a new terminal making references to the need for renovation of Hewannora or who knows a long overdue new terminal as most st lucians know we need.BUT OBJECTS to the grand cost of $140 million usd to build it, granted that is very expensive in comparison to ongoing regional airport expansion except for barbados with their superb grantly adams costing $100 million .. and also making reference to the new terminals china is building in antigua at $45 million usd & taiwanese building a new terminal in st vincent at $27 million usd could be close to $40

my point is we need to take a lead already antigua started their airport. with a change of gov why is it alwasy these small minded island leaders always playing politics with stuff of importance.. 1st - the proposed new hewanorra airport pays for itself in terms of dep tax from those travelling through it and that would be 80% tourists locals less than 20%.. 2nd -its not our tax payers money that is going to finance the terminal, the company called heery S & G will be

3rd- that is the best thing that could happen to the south at this moment to provide jobs for needy lucians from v fort, micoud, laborie etc.. for once its not all about castries.. we need a cutting edge so hence we really need a sizable airport for the long term any delays, or renovation of old HIA..would def cost much more in the future.. DR K.. dont play politics with this any country who wants investors and investments has to always improve on its throughports esp airports just check countries with superb airports and see how it pens out..
