The SLP decided to axe the Agenda because they can't stand free speech. Free speech to the SLP is being an advocate for their party. This is the problem we are facing in St Lucia today.

How do you cut one of the best morning shoes in the country?

Yea, as usual, someone has to take the fall. Why don't we ask the question as to why the gentleman or the B did not continue? Is it because his party loose and he don't expect his returns? Sorry another view.

I thought this was supposed to be about the viability of RSL. Some people don't seem to realize that the elections ended three(3) months ago. Come on, can't an issue be discussed without partisan politics?

I believe that 'warvet douvan poule' Dave Samuels, was one of the most even-handed people on radio. It seems that his approach does not sit well with the SLP or with the Dalsou individual. What? He is afraid to offend his massa? Another St. Lucian nom-sans-gwen!

The St. Lucian civil service is so full of these eunuchs! It's amazing. They should be wearing knickers.

I am already bored with this new board.

Forget the rhetoric. Where are the concrete plans and programmes? These would make much more sense.

St. Lucians do not simply want high profile names on a board. They want to see achievements.

Come on! Is this board made of cardboard or what?

If this were a cricket game, and one were to look at the scoreboard, in this RSL game, the new board would have a big fat ZERO on the scoreboard.

Like the Julian Hunte West Indies team, this team is nice on paper and full of potential. But, the players in the middle cannot seem to get off the mark. Chooops!!!!!!!

Well you got it wrong. The election may have ended 3 months ago but it seem the SLP have not taken note. You don't destroy something if it is not broken. The AGENDA was one of the finest progms on the island. You suspend it a few week after you come to office. What else can the rest of the listerning public think, if its not freaking politics.

This board is responsible for the 'po' in the word potential! Yeah man. They put pozy in potential!

Dalson is crude and crass.

I am sure that Dalson is acting on the advise of Kenny.

We won't recognize our beloved Saint Lucia when Kenny is done with Her, She'll be Haiti-lite.

There is a need to evaluate the quality of broadcasting on the Island.
There is one station where one newscaster has great difficulty hiding his dislike of the SLP administration, on the same station there is a presenter who is obsessed with a European car, and motor sport and forces his views down our ears, there is a confusion as to roles , one is newscaster, talk show host, country and western DJ, pundit, reporter, on another station there is a woman who screeches and is most unprofessional.

On a technical front, there is too much background noises , and worse crime on radio pungent silences not to mention the breakdown in service.

Recently on one station they were still advertising events for valentines day well after the event.

The current crop of presenters have become complacent and are stagnating, standards need to be raised.

Lets hope the new media organization will strive to raise standards

Ihope the Minister for broadcasting will set new standards for broadcasting before issuing licenses.

You not talking about IWA? He has a show on Radio Caribbean. I don't think he ever hid his dislike for the UWP.

RSL should be close down for good. Everything about it is digusting. The reception is an abomination to human hearing, the announcers are a whole bunch of country crockers their english hits you like a bulldozer their patios is in a class by itself. I heard so many bullets flying around I had to run for cover by NEVER listening to RSL again. My heart goes out to Dave Samuels perfect speaking St.Lucian man had to pay the price for a station that out of control and ruled by country bookies. My sincere condolences to St.Lucia we are all now dead.

Why is this Board getting involved in programming? Why doesn't the Board stick with Board issues and leave management to deal with programming and such?

I concur with the view that our broadcasting standards have deteriorated.
Its true a number of our presenters are complacent , they seem to be a law onto themselves, some programmes have denigrated into naval gazing back slapping look how wonderful we are.
Again I agree with the view that there ought to be some division of labour in broadcasting .I find it most difficult to take a newscaster seriously after seeing him perform as a DJ or some other non serious role.
These presenters need a wake up call to inform them that they are not indispensable, that unless they improve that they will be out.

Our broadcasting is currently a disgrace it is as if we have taken a retrograde step, and what concerns me most is that these guys actually believe their own hype and consider themselves experts , wake up most of you are rubbish and need to improve.

It would be interesting to have information on how many of our presenters , newscasters, have a media qualification, how many have some sort of broadcasting qualification. As opposed to how many got their positions because they knew someone in the business.
It would seem that very few have the necessary qualifications and this is evident in the quality of their presentations.
Its time for St. Lucia to improve in many areas and broadcasting is certainly one where we have fallen behind.

Agree our broadcasting needs to enter the 21st century, the standards accepted in the 20th century are no longer acceptable, we expect a better standard of presentation. Guys wake up up you all are portraying our country in a most negative manner.
