A Black US President? Never!

A very good article, and a fact people fail to recognise that Presidents of America are basically tokens, its a great pity that Obama hasn't been able to change elements of that most sadistic and uncaring society. Great pity too that most of the stuff thats followed from America are the worst and most destructive elements, fashion being one of them. Wake up St. Lucians most of you look a mess, particularly the larger person, grow up, stop putting sex into every thing you wear or do. Start using your brains and not your bodies.

What a brilliantly written article! an easy read, sequential, and informative; just a stupendous piece of journalism!

If only Rick Wayne were inclined to learn he could benefit much from studying your style of writing, and Saint Lucians would benefit much.

But, can an old dog be taught new tricks?

I cannot add anymore superlatives to those already offered!! I am simply proud to have sat on the same wooden benches of the Methodist schools with you!
As for President Obama; we should be proud for posterity sake, to be living in the era of this iconic occurrence, and to wish for him to live to see his grandchildren! Changes will take place--it is inevitable! However, one assassinated president is enough!

Earl, be honest, did you not write these three blogs? You alone would praise this article.

Blogger, yes you, at "April 25, 2012 7:13 AM", you are as SICK as the Yankees that Earl is writing about. You are just a CRAZY SICKO! It's amazing that there are so many like you around still in St. Lucia. Bousquet has just written a brilliant piece, but your first reaction is petty jealousy and negative vibes! The only sad aspect of the piece is the number of errors that have appeared, which shows that The Voice has fallen very short of the great editorial days of Mr. Huntley - Mr. Earl Huntley's father - when The Voice prided itself on solid editing. Victor Marquis has to do better than this, even if it just may be that management perhaps refuses to pay a good proof-reader. The BUCK stops with the Editor. But back to you SICKO! I'm sure you did not graduate from 6th Form, yet you would dare to challenge an intelligent, talented son of the soil like Mr. Bousquet. Congrats Bousquet, keep it up my younger brother. SOLID article. I wish Obama could read it too.

Barack Obama can use the presidency to bring to light the huge ecomomic inequaly that exist in the united states and in many coutries around the world. The fact that he talking about inequality, should encourage others to get involved.Fairness is not black or white. And then, their is the symbolism: black people around the world can emulate his drive to succeed. And I can tell you that alot of countries don't want their poeple, especially their minority groups to know about Mr.Obama's story; even in the United States.

I could not agree with you more Earl. It started not long after he took office when republican leaders were unequivocal in stating that they wanted Obama to be a one term president. They opposed every thing he tried to do, even some things that had bi-partisan support before all of a sudden became antithetical to their position. It got even sillier when some republicans suggested that Bush should be given credit for Bin Laden's demise.Barack inherited an economy that was hemorrhaging jobs at a clip of 700 thousand a month yet he is being blamed for it.He rescued the automobile industry and saved 1.3 million jobs in the process, the republicans were clear when they said that he should let the auto industry fail.
I think Obama underestimated the contentiousness of politics in Washington.
You are certainly not kidding when you stated that he had a rough time in Cartegena,Colombia.Even before he arrived his advanced team of secret service agents were out there having their dalliance with the ladies of the night.
