The HIA development tax will be removed and its only fair that my tax dollars be returned to me. I've travelled twice this year and I'd like my $70 back.

sometimes sensitivity to certain sectors of industry are necessary & timely but this does nt mean that they are treated without accountability ..everyone is accountable when it comes to paying their fair share of taxes to the gov .. so morally its good to allow leverage due to economic downfalls in particular job sectors but a country cannot run on mere _

in my opinion VAT should bring in a return of 1 & 1/2 more of what was collected before VAT was implemented under the old systems of tax collections.. so if the gov. retained $700MILLION annual revenue from taxes,,etc.. with VAT THE GOV OF STLUCIA SHOULD REIGN IN atleast $1.BILLION

well that will only be realised when VAT collections become efficient..such as PROPERTY TAX,RENTAL TAX [which is not on the cards yet] i mean the gov can easily make a few millions yearly e.g. asking 5%-10% from private citizens who rent additional homes across st lucia.. that is not too much to ask from the GOV & its not impossible to collect such taxes monthly
