St. Lucians are just plain incompetent jackasses. All they know is god-damn borbol. When it comes things that really matter in life, monkeys appear to have greater expertise. What is worse, is that seems to be no end in sight to the sending complete idiots and country-bookies to parliament as their representatives.

One of the last countries to implement a VAT, and we have made such a complete mess of the whole exercise.

St. Lucian politicians and the civil servants suck!

Since you are St. Lucian yourself, then it stands to reason you are a big Jackass and all you know is borbol.

In fact, you are the very first sapien.

Its pathetic and almost insane to read those articles relating to Vat Simply put how does the author of this article expects the government to pay for services; health, environmental and others that he enjoys. Taxes are a must and WE MUST pay our share of taxes. The sooner we stop bitching and mourning about this the better we will be.

They say that if the pupil has not learned, the teacher has NOT taught.

Aye! We have a teacher in the house.

After all, did he waste his and our time, money and other resources at Teacher's College, only to qualify him, go on to UWI and then completely abandon the profession?

But then again, if the teacher has not learned, then the teacher cannot teach.

After all, they say that those who don't know teach.

The days of arrogant govenments behaving like the British Colonial Office masters, just shoving things down our throats are over!

No amount of moralizing will ever cover for the absolute lack of systemic and systematic preparation, organization, and smarts that go into a transition from one taxation system to another.

What is most pathetic is the repeatedly supine attitude of a population conditioned by the colonial office and arrogant two-bit politicians to accept any crap that comes from the largely semi-and uneducated, unsophisticated and uninformed, across the political spectrum!

Properly introduced, a VAT takes nearly two years of preparation.

Smart-ass St. Lucians decided to get it done in five months!

The teacher has learned how to deceive us as individuals and now through VAT he is messing up our mind and country. We are mentally poor and he is a smart mulato looking after himself.

I have paid VAT for as long as I can remember up here in Canada, so suck it up. Taxes run the country.
