It takes Two to Tango!

Simplistic thinking is on parade here. The rubbish being trotted out here is that diplomacy is an end to itself. Just make links with the emergent nations and all will be well?

Same thing I thought; even the article's title trivializes the alliance being formed.

The SLP administration has distinguished itself -- "differentiated" itself even -- by opening a veritable can of worms when it got the governor to hint that they have started -- but just only started -- to think about vision.

And on the wrong foot too!

Vision is the province of leadership.

Followers enjoy sound leadership that shows vision. But...!

But the vision of any leadership has to be convincingly DEMONSTRATED -- NOT JUST SPOKEN ABOUT.

It's hard work.

There is -- up to now -- no evidence that this administration has done, or is even doing just about anything to take advantage of whatever positives may ... may flow from the relationship.

Where is the vision?

Fact:

There are few genuine planners in the nation. This is highly reflective of the shallowness of business thinking in our national culture.

Don't talk about those who do little more than stand alongside a tray and have never progressed past this as evidence of a business culture.

The world does not buy from trays located by the various common markets.

In economics this activity is masking a very deep problem --- "disguised unemployment".

Where is, or what is the plan? Is ALBA a means or an end?

Larger question: Does this administration know, or has ever considered what for them is the difference?

Is a beginning alone the same thing as a stupendous accomplishment?

This is a nice rum shop article. It does best in such a setting -- talking loud and saying nothing.

As a mouthpiece of the SLP, the credibility gap looms even larger!

Clearly, if the SLP had something more substantial in mind, the writer it would appear would have been just too happy to boast it.

Is that yard fowl knowledgeable enough to tell the difference?
