Wow, gotta hand it to our folks. Their resiliency is second to none. Even as their spending power erodes and their disposable incomes reduce, they can forget their troubles and dance!

Keep it moving ... and all that jazz.

The are so numb to the reality facing them; they cannot even read the leaves. The cannot even take note of the signs; the forwarning.

When they were hell bent on dancing on the streets in Vieux-Fort for their carnival in 1980 August, Hurricane Allen came and wipe them out.

Take Warning! Bob tempts par kie sauvey zot. SAY-LAY-WAY.

That's what VOODOONOMICS a la Ken-Tony does.

They all crying to everyone they meet that they can barely eat.

But they can find money for car-nar-val and jazz.

As the blogger said above; you call this country's economic condition voodoonomics a la Ken-Tony.

The writer of this "article" seems to be the weatherman. SMH. Was this "article" really about the jazz opening?

Above, you're too mean-spirited. Maybe a picture really does tell a thousand words! LOL. To be fair, there was another brief write-up by someone else on the performances in the Canelles section of the newspaper.

Hopefully, enjoying a good book is also one of your favourite pastimes. @ 5:40AM blogger

I agree with the Blogger, St. Lucians do have a heck of a lot of money. They just pretending they don't have. Notwithstanding VAT.

If the country did not have money; how could they pay so many consultants and advisers such huge salaries; more than twelve thousand dollars a month; plus allowances /perks.

The Government does have money and the Public Servants see it every day and know it.

So Dwight Venner don't know what he talking about?

Is he giving us false information?

Huh.

If the wise Minister of Finance is borrowing money and increasing our national debt to pay huge chunks of money to useless consultants and consultancies, then the better times ahead will be in a parallel universe.

Bureaucrats in CARICOM, CSME, and OECS and ECCB can not be depended upon to give UNVARNISHED TRUTHS to the public.

After all, these people hold their jobs at the pleasure of the government leaders of Member States. It is not like the jobs in the judiciary.

Such people are creatures of regional governments.

Never forget that. You forget this at your peril.

Blogger right above, I fully agree with your statement. Very correct there.
