No ‘Freeness’ at New Hospital

I don't quite the point being made in this article. I want to know if the new hospital will be privately owned or will it be a government operated institution? If the latter case there'll have to be some "freeness"

Blogger #1 ... apparently you have no sense of "business". A hospital has its overheads and personnel to pay.

A HOSPITAL simply cannot run without some form of funding. Equipment and medication are NOT cheap!!

Ambulances need to be kept in tip-top condition = $$
Operating Room equipment & supplies =$$
Beds and bed linen upkeep = $$
Electricity and water = $$
Medication and lab equipment = $$
Doctors, nurses and other hospital personnel = $$
Etc, etc, etc = $$

Our government cannot keep and run a "FREE" hospital, not in our kind of political and cultural climate.

Get real!!

I hope that Romanus Lansiquot's name is on the building. That brother was way ahead of Lucians in his thinking.

I tell you that freeness and entitlement mentality that we have is a real sickness. Health care is expensive the world over but we expect to walk into a hospital and pay nothing for the services rendered. On top of all of that, we complain incessantly about VAT which is the same funds government will use to maintain the hospital. Gosh we need to return to kindergarten.

Who said government will run the new hospital as a FREENESS? We missed an essential point here. All government run institutions and, in particular in socialist thinking government, there will be some freeness. Some patients just cannot afford the cost of their own medical bills and the state provides medical attention free of charge or at reduced cost to them. A problem in Helen is that we do not think... We tend to be too quick to criticize and destroy!!!
