Earl you didn't miss anything. The third world have bought into the lie that hanging is too uncinilized. Yet none of these countries have the guts to tell many Staes in the U.S. not to hang. This no hanging business is not for all countries. SINCE THEY STOPPED HANGING IN ST.LUCIA, MURDER HAVE INCREASED A HUNDER FOLD. You don't have to hand, one fatal injection will do.
Earl you're forgetting not only dates and appointments, but also your duty to edit your writing out of respect for your readers. As you know, Victor Marquis gave up that aspect of his responsibility a long time ago. In this case you actually said to us that many governments and people have made the "Global Death Penalty Congress" illegal! I quote you: "But I really wanted to attend the Global Death Penalty Congress, because I wanted to get a better understanding of why so many governments and people the world over have declared it inhuman and agreed to make it illegal."
Earl, Dear boy. You got carried away and confused your readers. Are you interested in the hanging issue or the death penalty issue. If people were given the death penalty by lethal injection, would you see things differently. Address please in part two.
Now that woman deserved the death penalty. She killed her neighbour who was being charitable to her; bashed her head in with a candle holder, cut off her finger to steal her ring - then went to the liquor store to buy beer with the stolen loot - some people deserve to be given a ticket on the express flight to HELL.
I'm for public execution - firing squad, Poison Injection, Steam-Roller, Hanging by the neck, chopping off the head - if you are guilty of first degree murder, then pick your ticket. But the killer can get life without parole if the family of the victim desires. The immediate family members should have a say in the decision.
The same ones who advocate death are the same ones who profess to be Christians. One of the Commandments said "Though shall not kill." How hypocritical of you and for an old man like Earl who will soon die, why would hanging turn you on so much? Go make peace with your maker because he will come like a thief in the night, and BOOM, you're gone.
Why did God order the Israelites to go, kill, destroy and occupy "the promised land", and leave no stone standing one on top of another?
Thou shall not kill? Moses took that principle from the Egyptian teachings. See how easy it was to break the tablets of stone and rewrite the "laws" afterwards, from memory of what transpired at the mountain top?

Leave Earl alone! De man having a dry spell.
What's your point Earl? Are you living in La-la land? For Saint Luca, isn't that a very dead issue?
There still are executions in the USA.
Texas executes 500th inmate since 1976

What makes you think that Bible-thumping morons are an advanced species above primates?
