That project is dead in the water. Had the UWP stayed in power, the project would have moved forward.

Please I attended a Sea trade conference in Miami of which chastenet was one of the guest speaker and said that his government had plans to develop the port with a bunch of lies, [march 2010] did ask the people of st lucia about it and no one knows or heard of such. By the way he lied, look phony, and deceiving.
I hope that the media as well as journalist will ask question and write about his stewardship, so lucians will know what he wants.

This is not marketing. This is construction. It requires a vision. And unless execution is by the private sector, it will depend on loanable funding to government.

Question: With the state of our indebtedness and debt ratio, which financial entity is going to give the GOSL the resources to finance this project?

Moreover, according to our domestic political bias of five-year project yardfowlism, its execution and completion do not fall neatly into our normal five-year election cycle. This represents a major hurdle and stumbling block for our partisan-inspired love affair with yardfowl, myopic and short-term politics.
