Bishop:

You seem obsessed with Lucians playing Dominoes, smoking Marijuana, and now you openly express your displeasure at an innocent Lucian drinking a Beer to celebrate his freedom from being incarcerated ten years, for a crime he did not commit.

Bishop, you remind me most, of The Angel of The Morning-Light/Lucifer, which begs the question, “How many people did you rob and kill in your country before you started hiding in Lucia under a new identity”?

Where did you come from again? Grenada ? No? St. Vincent ? NO? OK, Rat Island, and that explains the deep resentment you display towards Lucians for practicing their Culture.

Talk about taking advantage of Lucian Hospitality?

Son-of-whore, leave Bishop alone and get off the crack pipe once and for all!!!!

At least he's doing his job. What are you doing? Instead of reacting to what he and everyone else writes, why don't you put your unemployed time to use and write a letter to the editor if you have a problem.

Either way, get a life.

Man Has Been in Prison for 17-Years, Even Though Someone Else Confessed to the Crime.

Bishop you should read this story on the link below:

OPTICAL:

You have presented a question that “Pwa-Kasey”/split pea brains like Bishop are incapable of understanding. If St. Romain had drunk some wine in front of that Naked White man with bloomers on that Cross in the RC Roman Church by the Square I am sure that such a celebration would have been applauded by the brained-damaged victims of the Religion of White Supremacy.

These Lunatic-Cannibals perceive it is an act of dignity to eat “Losti” and drink wine that they claim is concentrated into the BODY and BLOOD of that Naked White man they say is their God-in-flesh, but if St. Romain drunk that same wine in a “Car-bar-wey” the Cannibals say, “IN POOR TASTE”. Sa sey moun ki fooo

Insightful, Son-of-man; your last paragraph.

AND VERY TRUE!

Let us not slaughter the writer please. The column he is contributing to is an opinion column and that does not mean anybody or everybody ought to agree with his views. That the actions of the alleged perpetrator or of a man accused of a heinous crime was in bad taste to him, does not make Stan Bishop an idiot..it is his opinion and we all have to respect that.

As for the matter at hand, it would certainly appear that drinking beer as a celebratory show of happiness with regards freedom in light of the accusations levelled at that said individual or suspect and in full view of the public is surely in poor taste. While it is understandable that 11 years behind bars and not being tried for the crime would make a person jump for joy at being released even for a little while, neither he nor his lawyer, nor his family seemed to have expressed their sympathy
for the victim of the crime or for her family. is he part of the victims family? Yes. Is he saddened by her demise? Ah well, it seems that all he is concerned about is that he be exonerated for the crime. To the suspect and prisoner on remand for 11 years having gotten bail after 11 years is surely a victory, and they have a right to take big swigs or mouthfuls of wine or beer or other drink of choice but just not in full view of the public. After all, a young girl was killed after being viciously violated and the monster who did that has not been caught. St Romain might just be innocent, but does he truly believe that 11 years makes up for his innocence? If he is innocent, then, may he go fully free, but if not I hope he pays dearly for his misdeed. As we all know, the judiciary system in St Lucia is quite a mess but we still have to let nature take its course....not justice, for the wheels of justice here in St Lucia spins extremely slow. It is a pattern for this system to keep people in jail for long periods without trial and that in itself is a human right violation. If a man is apprehended and charged with a crime, deal with the matter swiftly or else release him for lack of evidence. You cant blame St Romain for rejoicing...anyone of us would do the same thing. You cant blame Martinus Francois because he is getting making a killing financially. But people have not forgotten the innocent girl who was murdered and that kind of behaviour, celebrating in public can only stir up a considerable amount of animosity towards the accused and contempt for the law. I have written all this to point out that no matter where Bishop came from, whether he is hiding in St Lucia under an assumed name or not, whether he is an alien or not, the bottom line he has a right to his opinion. THis sis democratic country and if an accused person not yet exonerated for his alleged part in a crime can drink in public and make a mockery out of the law, then Stan Bishop can say how he feels about the matter. I support Bishop on
this one...That was in poor taste. Although, being a writer myself I would headline the article: Spitting in the eye of Justice. Justice has not yet been served and who knows if it ever will.Let me digress here to say that I am saying that St Romain is guilty...I am saying, take the celebration to his private residence. The young girl was murdered and she cannot celebrate, so that behaviour was like dancing on her grave. Those who now have a stranglehold on Bishop for giving his views ought to get a life!

@ 5:34

There is such blatant contradictions at your failed attempt to come to Bishop's defense, that hypocrisy gave me a “Gor-gjet”. It is an “opinion” to which all are entitled, you submit in his defense. Someone said:

“Nothing stands in the way of all sort of progress, as pride of opinion; while nothing is so foolish and baseless.”

If you submit an entitlement to Bishop's opinion, shouldn't you permit a person the choice in the manner he chooses to celebrate his freedom from an injustice? Let me state here that your extrapolation concluding St. Romain has no empathy for the victim or her family is erroneous and speculative – I believe he is celebrating at this time, because the police can now adjust their tunnelled-vision and correctly focus and apprehend the real perpetrator of this horrific crime - make PROGRESS; what's strange or "in poor taste" about that?

I understand your concern for Justice, but having a beer in public, a killer does not make. The words FOOLISH and BASELESS comes to mind; add IDIOT to that!

Idiot - for good measure and added emphasis!

Indeed, what's wrong in having a beer - in public - after being incarcerated/on remand for ten long years. Yeah, if the shoes were on the other side, that Stan guy would have gone, from jail, right into a church....give me a freaking break, will you!!

why did Martinus francois run away to Washington D.c ? Right after this case ???? Whatis he afraid of? Cant you keep your client safe or your own butt? HMM. Then The commissioner is targeted .and you cant defend your family?.Perhaps America can do that!
