My heart bleeds after reading this article.

What heartless, inhumane bunch of animals passing as policemen/law enforcers!!

I have ABSOLUTELY and THOROUGHLY no trust and or confidence in the St Lucia Police Force.

Recently I reported a misdemeanor (and out of foresight gave my name to the police officer I made the report to); guess what: The police officer told the guy it was I who made the report. Subsequently, this guy is chaffing me every time he sees me; saying he will hurt me in any way, fashion or form!! All due to a "mar-gee" passing as a police man!!

A pitiful attempt at explaining.

I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU. Sophia Louisy is speaking the truth. Not you, policemen.

Tell me on what grounds do police officers have the right to stop and search someone? Is it by the clothes they wear or the color of their skin. Or is it by the way they walk or the neighbourhood they are in? It seems to me that if an officer is going to stop someone, that's one thing. He or she can stop and question anyone. But to stop someone, question that person and then proceed to search that individual, without cause or suspicion, is a violation of that person's constitutional or civil rights. And then to shoot and kill the individual in the process is a gross misuse of authority. That means that anyone one could be targeted and search for personal or other reasons, like the officer who went to a man's house and arrest him on complaints of a woman whom both the officer and the arrested person had an interest in.

The police in St.Lucia are all gang bangers full of criminal activities both male and female from the the top cop to the bottom. They lie, rob, kill, and sell drugs etc. If you tell them of illegal activities, like snitch on someone they go tell that person you are the one who told them, down with them morons.

Yes, above, quite right. I have been a victim of what you spoke of. Reported an incident to a few police officers, who went right back and told the person my name and the location of my house.

Down with the St Lucia police force! I do not trust ANY of them. They are all crooked; the lot of them!

My God, Lady, get a good international lawyer and sue the hell out of the St Lucia Police for in general, and this moron who shot this guy, in particular!

Sue, sue, sue them! Sue the damn government if you have to.

Mrs. Louise please forward this article to the US embassy. I am saddened by this blatant killing of this young man. What this guy do, to deserve death? Mrs. Louise please sue the heck out of the government; someone has got to set some precedent. All these so called police officers need to be re-trained or fired. Corruption is also rife in their midst...the KA administration needs begin walking the walk - period. Again sorry for your loss mrs. Louise. God bless

Well, the US embassy is fully aware of this story, I am sure; as they have eyes and ears EVERYWHERE, in every conceivable corners...but yes, even then, forward this article directly to them.

How could someone, supposedly a policeman - a law enforcer, killed someone, a A MAD MAN, in such a manner?

Animals - the bunch of them!!...No, let me not compare them with animals (they are worse than animals); as animals kills ONLY for survival - nothing else.

since there are are so many negative comments about the police I will post a positive experience:
Location is Gros islet Police station.
I receive a information the police looking with a traffic ticket warrant for me.(the ticket was issued 2011 and payd within 1 week).
I pass there/ask for the police officer and the warrant issue/show him my payments made/he made copys/and within 10min it was done.
No bad word,no brutality, very friendly service.

Well, anonymous @ August 23, 2013 at 8:23 PM...such glowing reports, huh!!

I could and will contradict your statement. My house was broken into some time ago. The police officers arrived within minutes. Alas, when I told them why they are not taking pictures of foot prints on the wall, the officer looked at me with abject disdane, contempt even, as if I have suddenly sprung ten horns!!

He was even too lazy to write down a statement. Circumstantial evidence pointed to the person(s) who broke, enter and stole gadgets from my house. THAT WAS THE END OF IT. Though I pursue that case for over six month; after all the frustration from the Gros Islet Police Station; I gave up...nonetheless, I am glad you were able to settled your issues with them amicably. Alas, I cannot say that for me!

The Royal St.Lucia police force should have a gun range to practice their targets not people.

Everything for you all dam people is a politics that is not stopping at all. The poor man lose his life there but you all have to involve government in that. Tell me is it Kenny Anthony who told the police officer to kill the guy? If UWP was in power would you have the guts to say it was King who sent him or her? Answer these questions.
