This is a very sad situation and one that warrants concern by all sectors of society. I believe that the Ministry of Education, SALCC, the teacher's Union and all other interest holders should now be in dialogue to find ways to protect children from abuse in schools and other public areas like libraries. I believe Video surveillance of the school compound, proper accountability by teacher's to principles on their work day and activities and mandatory evaluations of teacher's before entering the system and periodically after entering the system might help to lessen these occurrences. I believe its time that we move from "everyone can teach" mentality and begin to place on licensed and qualified teacher's in the classrooms who have all the necessary knowledge, skills and dispositions of this honored profession.

If the suspect we are pursuing just so happens to be the perpetrator of this sickening crime, ALL efforts should be employed in apprehending him. The RSS should play a key role in seeking him out and put some closure to this tragedy.
I have three young step-daughters and I would have left everything behind to hunt down whoever it was that did this to them.
As far as complicity on part of the school and home base is concerned, I am still waiting to see how this case pans out. This little girl needs some justice.... NOW!!!!!

The "teacher" should be castrated.
