Driving without a licence should be an automatic jail sentence because it's a premeditated crime. Then perhaps they might think twice before getting behind the wheel.

i agree, a fine along with jail time would be good too, with fines increasing for repeat offenders

$500 is too little for the driver. Even the 5,000 bail is too small.

We must send a strong message to the drivers in St Lucia that we will not permit persons to drive without the required valid drivers licence or driving an insured vehicle. What if an Easter Sunday Carnege again? Who would take responsibility? Why will I insure my vehicle and ensure that I pay my drivers licence and some persons get away with it? Oh my word!!!!. I agree with the previous writers the fines are too little.

Yeah? Well get me a temporary license to use on the road. I'm in St. Lucia only in the summer and during christmas, I'm supposed to buy a three year license for $300 that I would only use for 2 months a year?

I am surprised drugs were found during traffic check.

What was supposed to be found: some virgins, some good-humored clowns or Santa Claus giving candies away?
