its time we build a proper horse racing track for horse racing den we can market it as a tourist pproduct to a full extent an promote horses an racing world wide.cause what happens when they rebuild the airport isnt there talk of reopening the old runway?
Let's take baby steps first. I don't see an issue with them utilizing the old runway until a better location is found. Keeping the spirit of horse racing alive is their goal. Horses are very expensive to maintain and so we have to recognize their efforts for wanting something positive for our "Fair Helen".Horse racing has great potential and if we can successfully add it to our calendar of events in the coming years, who's to say we can't match the number of visitors that show up on our shores for Jazz. I applaud these young men for taking the time and energy to help themselves and their country. If we can all show our support to this horse racing club,we can all be ripping the rewards later. Barbados did it,Trinidad did it,Jamaica did it...Why can't it be ST.LUCIA? Let's join in and make this work for us all.We are all proud St.Lucians. Let us make this happen. We will all benefit from the sport.
The horse racing is an industry wich is full of potential.I think that if it is to become a sucess, it needs to be embraced by the various ministries that cross path with the development of the industry, from there on it will only be a matter of time before the sport becomes a sucess and a good attraction.

I remember my parents going to watch the races when I was a kid, so it's not new, it just died out.
