I don't trust Italians.
The stability of that "rock" was questioned even before the Chinese started construction at that site, and the government assured us that it was stable. One only has to look at the exposed slopes to see that the composition is rounded boulders (volcanic bombs?) immersed in ash. Maybe civil engineers can verify the stability of the soil, but I wouldn't build a house on what seems to essentially be a hill of marbles.
