Promises, promises, promises. A promise is a comfort to a fool.

Yes this present government is famous for that.

Shame on the "anonymous" commentators ... the work has not even begun yet - and already they have begun hurling their fecal matter.

It is unfortunate, that whenever something POSITIVE is arranged to be done - the "woe mongers" are already clamouring at the gates with their nasty, smelly buckets.

Give the project a chance to begin, to take shape - at the end of the day, then you can begin your s**t slinging - that is, if your buckets are full.

Give the powers that be a chance, and give jack his jacket. Encouragement and your positive two cents are more important (and is less work!).

If one of your sons end up at the BTC one day, it would not matter to you WHERE it is, HOW it is, or WHEN you will see your boy again. The only thing that will matter to you, is that your "little boy" has changed and is ready to face a POSITIVE life!!

GROW UP "Anonymous Nay Sayers" GROW UP!!

Don't worry, their fecal matter won't stick this time.

Ibm, do you see this government is capable of taking on any project, except with the help of the Taiwanese?

To the last "anonymous" ... why don't you get off your behind, and try to assist in making a difference.

We tend to rely on "government" to do EVERYTHING for us, and stand on the roadside with our arms folded, a vexed look on our face - like a spoilt child.

Instead, offer your services to each other (if you have one) to make our island better off - and stop the mealy mouthing!!

Believe me, if I had a knowledge (or diploma) in counseling, teaching or looking after delinquents, I would gladly offer my services to the BTC, in a heart beat. Unfortunately, this not my forte, since this is a special project, requiring specialists.

Ibm, now you trying to make it personal and you want to change the subject, where in St Lucia people can just offer their services at place like BTC or prisons etc? Tell me how this is done? The governments do not even use the talent of the ELECTED opposition. I have made a difference with the youth of my area by becoming their leader and making a difference. We have toured all over the country and even been overseas playing sports. How have you made a difference?

Well, I prefer to hope that finally after decades of neglect, this facility get tended to.

I can understand the concern from Dennery that both institutions will be there, but then it would be the constituents' responsibility to make their concerns heard, and do what they can to influence the development to be safe for the residents. Not easy I know, but we have to start taking these kind of steps.

I know my mother volunteered many years ago at BTC and I wasn't aware they were not taking volunteers, is that true? I know I was asked in recent years about doing a programme in Bordelais, but didn't take it up myself.

Anyway, let's see and hope for the sake of our youth, that this facility finally gets the help it has long needed.

This will definitely increase efficiency in transportation costs, in graduating from SMC to A LEVEL.
( this is not my opinion ; just the prevailing stereotype )
