I would really like to know why is the the River-Rock Waterfall still a tourist attraction. It is obvios that the management of the place cannot provide the necessary level of security that is needed.

Like Denys Springer said in a previous article, we are a reactive people. All of a sudden Allan talks about the combination of efforts to tackle the crime situation. A few months ago, I was in St Lucia on holiday and during a busy Friday night street party in Gros Islet, two St Lucians, Hugh Pilgrim and Larry Bain were attacked by a gang of thugs for no reason. If they attack St Lucians who will be able to later identify them, why are we shocked when they rob foreigners who visit isolated areas. Most people want to make money and spend literally nothing in the process. They claim that their property is a tourist attraction, yet there is no security, no toilet facilities, no means of communication, no evacuation plans, nothing regarding safety of these tourist should the unforeseen occur. Are we familiar with what cooperate manslaughter is? Basically the CEO's of Tour Companies etc can be held responsible, should any of their clients be harmed fatally, whilst on holiday. No wonder the cruise company wants to pull the plug on St Lucia. Who is responsible for conducting audits, safetey inspections etc for the places that the tourist visit? We need to stop operating with the 'ti boutique mentality'. We have got a great tourist product, lets be professional about the way we conduct our business. STOP THE MEDIOCRITY.
