To Anon #2 - these "good writers/journalists" you mention may not be to YOUR liking. Remember The Voice has a wide readership, and YOUR scope of these writer's thinking/writing will not always match YOUR trend of thoughts; hence the word "INDIVIDUALITY" - learn it, and respect it!!
Personally, I look at Earl's articles as "a double edged sword". I look at Micah's articles as "the devil's advocate". Sadly, I am not familiar with Andrew Antoine - but, I will look up his articles and give him a "christening".
Shame on the cretics of the VOICE. Compared to the others that passes themselves off us NEWSPAPERS, the VOICE in my opinion is one of the most trusted in the country.
The voice is a better a newspaper by a very long shot! No doubt about this. Mr. George does a better job than a lot of others that have gone on before him and are currently being held up as gods! If only he had a background in economics, he would make a mess of his critics.
There is nothing wrong in criticising the Voice to get it to do better. It is not good enough to be the best on the field while your skills deteriorate because there is no competition. One-eyed, you become in the land of the blind ... saint.
How can Micah George pass himself off as a "seasoned journalist" when the chap had ledes that span 110 (yes, one hundred and ten!) words long?? As far as the rules go, ledes are not supposed to exceed 35 words. But then again....
What a waste that these newspapers do not write nor do enough research on things that affect the st lucian population and all they write about is juicy news. Why not write about all the money and aid given to st lucia after the storm and what have they done with it. What about writing the state of these constituency and those ministers who represent them. How about writing on this present goverment and their stewardship to the people of st lucia. How about taiwan and what they are doing in st lucia and the list goes on and on that are people better knows what is at stake.
St. Lucia the new protectorate of Taiwan. Take down the foolish flag and stop that stupid chorus called the national anthem. Make Chinese the official language. Imagine that a host of looshans in Taiwan learning about journalism. What a waste how will that develop St. Lucia? We only want better Sam Floods? Dumbed-down St. Lucians about to create more dummies.
You can call them your A-Team if your want but it's quite a stretch to say they are among the finest writers in the region. Get a hold of yourself man.
Let's do this. Why don't you read Starbroek News, The Nation, The Observer or The Gleaner and then tell us whether you still think your bunch are among the finest writers in the region.
Why don't you, comment posters, submit articles for publishing? Judging by the way you write here and think, all your submissions will end up in the trash bin.

Give me a break. Man,you mean you include Micah George, Earl Bousquet and Andrew Antoine as good writers/ journalists. Think again.

If all these people are lumped together on the A-team, then we must look for the quality on the A+ Team then?
What a colossal waste of people's time reading this load of crap!!

If all these people are on the A team, then quality is not one of their best suits of the reviewer.
